I am going to make this short and sweet as I have other things to do right now. I will debate you all later.

For all of Pac's foot speed, and ability to pivot and throw punches from angles.....PBF can neutralize that quite easily. How? Simple......PBF will not be looking to stand in front of Pac, and to pot shot him. PBF will in fact be the aggressor, he will be using his jab, and giving Pac lateral movement.

Now because PBF has a solid reach advantage over Pac and no real disadvantage in foot speed, hand speed, and or footwork, that spells doom for Pac. Pac CANNOT and I repeat CANNOT turn PBF the way he did Cotto, DLH, and Hatton. Because PBF will NOT be standing in front of him and he will NOT have to come forward to be in range. He also won't allow Pac to get off first, and set the pace.

You cannot go in and out on a target that is moving on you. Especially against someone who is LONGER than you. Especially when that opponent isn't slow. You do NOT want to try and go in and out against PBF being the smaller man, with the shorter reach.

PBF is a smart fighter and I am positive that he can see that standing still in front of Pac, no matter how good your reflexes are is a bad idea. Why? Because then Pac can use those quick feet, to get inside your reach, and reach you with those punches from odd angles.

PBF isn't a one trick pony. His defense is comprised of several dimensions and facets.

PBF can also afford to get off first against Pac because he is longer and slightly taller. It will be PBF's offense that rules the day in this matchup.

The only analogy that I can think of is a non-boxing one. Probably too long ago for most of you to remember. In 1984 the 49er's the 2nd most prolific offense faced Miami (montana vs marino). And after the game in which the 49er's defense and pin point offense broke the explosive Dolphins down and then blew them out; the center for the 49er's said...........

"Everyone was looking for offense in this game, but it looks like the wrong one showed up."

I don't believe there is a fighter in boxing today that is shorter in height and reach that can beat the current version of PBF. If Pac was longer then I would give him a real solid chance.

.......please don't bring up Corrales or N'dou. If you are merely taller (like corrales), or taller with a an equal reach (like N'dou), that isn't enough. You have to have speed, of hand and feet, you have to be somewhat dynamic to make those physical attributes count.

Neither of those men had that. Pac fans don't take offense I think Manny is a great fighter and I believe that Pac could beat Shane if Shane didn't fight the right fight. I would even understand why Pac would be the favorite.

Ask yourself the following between PBF and Shane.......which has shown a propensity of standing flatfooted and being vulnerable? Shane right. Who allowed a shorter man to get inside of his reach in a recent fight PBF or Shane? Shane did versus Cotto and that was part of the reason he lost.

That is why I believe Pac would have a chance to beat Shane but no chance of beating PBF. But Shane can win the fight he just can't let Pac get inside of his reach. But it should be obvious to all that between PBF and Shane who has the better legs at this point to accomplish that.

No hate....No fan boy bull****, No nuthuggery.......just clear analysis.

Sorry Mayweather fans, he can't defeat Pac.

    My explanation is easy.

To defeat Pac you need two things,
    A) A higher workrate than Pac
    B) Power to ko the little guy.

Mayweather for all his ability and skill has neither.

    Pac UD.

Pac is gonna have to use his angles and speed to beat Floyd. Go to the body, like he did with Clottey, and he will wear him down. After that onslaught, Clottey stopped punching, because he couldn't take any more punishment from Pac. That is the key for him to beat Floyd. Non-stop energizer bunny offense.

I think Floyd can get to Pac and hurt him... Pac's defense is lacking.

Floyd maybe from 5+ years ago could beat Pacquaio. But not now. He's become a potshot artist. Does not have the workrate nor the power as BoxingFanNo1 said.

I'd take Pac over any version of Mayweather though.

It is short I will give you that, but it is incorrect. You don't need a HIGHER workrate. You need to SIMPLY GET OFF FIRST.

You don't need to have KO power........not necessary at all. You just need to have enough pop to get his respect. And with PBF's speed and accuracy he will get the (shorter in height and reach) little man's respect.
