Thats not what this thread is about or the reason why the list was put up, sticking to the subject at hand, both Jimmy Wilde and Ali are both greater fighters than Manny Pacquiao, infact they are in a different league to Pacman.
Yeah i didn't mean to bash on your list man, just thought it was a little outrageous. Sorry there. In my opinion Manny Pacquiao is truly great. It is opinion that he is not as great as fighters from past eras, and these arguments that are put forward can be justified no doubt. But in my opinion (and i do not take this standpoint often whatsoever), we should all as boxing fans savour the Pacman, we are living through an era in which his feats are unfolding before us. I really think he has accomplished greatness, i don't want to start talking about others that were greater than him. This is coming from someone who only posts in the classic on ESB, so obviously not a biased fanboy in type post by any stretch of the imagination
Thanks man, and by the way you got more balls than me putting a list out there. So hard to muster a p4p list me thinks
Pac isn't a white or black ameican so he doesn't need to fight a good fighter who isn't washed up and win. Look at De La Hoya he was the same way. Look at pretty any hispanic, latino or asian boxer. When they fight a good fighter they lose, When they fight any half way decent white or black american fighter they lose.
Pac's a great fighter. He's better at 140 than he was at 126 or 130 in my opinion. He's improved technically and retained his speed which is just way too much for most mortal 140 lbers. I'd probably have him poking into a top 50 at this point. I do think placing him in an all-time 140 top ten (which I've seen on here) is absurd at this point.
