I saw a link saying the RJJ Hopkins rematch had been signed but I was hoping it wasn't so.

I dunno if Green would have thrashed Hopkins, but I think he could possibly have been the first to stop him early.

Oh well, looks like Hopkins saw Green as too much risk, depsite the high reward :roll:

You're dumb if you think it was luck. Roy is old as **** and couldn't hang with a (yes-limited) but more fit and stronger man. Green was an Olympian and has reasonable skills. Hopkins vs Roy is a waste of time. And I'm sure Green would fight Dawson if he had the chance.

Green is a no name in the US & sadly wanted at least half the pie when all he brought to the table was the fringe IBO title & a loss to 5 yrs well past his prime Jones.

Sadly to us Aussies the sponsorship deals & the TV money/rights are so big in many Europe & North American countries that it well & truly covers the extra 5 or 10k thru the live gate here in Australia.
Some might not know this but the money Nemiroff pays to sponsor Klitschko fights is insane...same as Tecate or Corona or Affliction clothing or Rockstar Energy Drink etc pay for the US fights.

To be honest I thought this would still happen immediately after the loss anyway. Still too much money in it.

Also, I think he will lose, but I don't expect it will be anywhere near what happened to Roy in the Green fight - he will do alot better than we all expect. Not to say it was luck or his not past it, but that it will be a different fight and might possibly get some good shots in early if Hopkins thinks he'll have as easy of a night as Green did!

What most people don't know is FANS pay 100% of the purse. Ever.
