Haha the same sosnowski who got shut out by the mighty zuri lawrence?? Sosnowski is a decent european leavely fighter and nothing more. He'll lose to dmitrenko and he'd have lost to harrison.
:rofl Only in Audley's dreams and his pre-fight promotional spots. Solis beats Sosnowski. Sosnowski beats Audley. Solis destroys Audley.
As fat as Solis is I think that he can beat Sosnowski by UD, because of his amateur background alone. Sosnowski doesnt have a single amateur fight. He has only heart to fight. His only chance would be to land a big punch on Solis. This would be hard to do, because Sosnowski isnt great puncher. However Solis is too untested at HW (as a pro), so I might be wrong...
You assess Sosnowski on one fight - how premature... and saying he would lose to harrison - outstanding! Harrison hardly won against Bonin who is levels below Sosnowski. I recommend you to watch Sosnowski/Vidoz at least and whats more Sosnowski's hired a new coach management which for sure gonna benefit him.
no no don't get me wrong, i also saw sosnowski against williams and he was very impressive. i also think he was a deserving challenger for vitali's belt, due to him being the european champ. by the same mark, harrison was a deserving challenger due to him being the european champ. harrison and sosnowski are on a level peg ability wise, there is no disputing that really. however the one attribute that sets sosnowski apart, like mentioned previously, is his heart. even after taking a shellacking off vitali he still came forward. he has dove right back into a high risk high reward fight vs dmitrenko. in a fight between him and harrison, it would be seen as a fifty fifty fight, but sosnowski had got tonnes more heart and that could be the difference. the bit i highlighted there btw, i'm not saying either were the most deserving challengers by any stretch. but due to their titles they were only ever going to be one fight away from a title shot. and i think that is great, that the traditions of the european belt lead to a title shot. and i think no matter how we view these fighters, the simple fact they held that belt is enough. i'm digressing now, but it is something i feel strongly about. that is the concept of linearity. taking my previous paragraph further; if say de marcus corley had beaten maidana, i'd have viewed him as a legit challenger. if chisora beats wladimir, i'll view him as the best heavy in the world. the one thing that makes boxing so great is that one punch (or sometimes one great performance) can change a career around. no matter how poorly a fighter has performed in their career, on night can change it all around. after getting shut out by lawrence, sosnowski was seen as nothing more than a journey man going into the williams fight. but he pulled it out fot he bag again. and again against vidov he captured the belt and suddenly within a year he went from bum to challenger. had he lost to vidoz he'd have remained a bum. that one fight made him the challenger. same with harrison after losing to rogan he was seen as a joke. but then he turned his career around at prizefighter and knocked out sprott for the european belt. that one punch made him the challenger, had he not landed it he would have remained a bum. this is the beauty of boxing. right now everyone thinks chisora is a stepping stone and a joke. if he knocks out wlad he goes from joke to the lineal champ. another example would be mcbride. if he knocks out adamek i say he has earned a title shot. i know the opinions are split on the concept of linearity but i believe in it because it makes the sport better. the one down side is it ignores all that came before it. it makes boxing about the one night, but for me that just adds to the excitement. didn't mean to rattle on this long haha, but back to your point, i know that sosnowski is a decent fighter. i just don't see any way he could prevent solis from knocking him out.
Skillwise Solis is in different league than Sosnowski, although if he fattened himself to the point of looking average against Austin you can't rule out an upset. Drowller, I have seen Sosnowski-Vidoz and I'm not really impressed by Sosnowski. He just did his job against demotivated opponent, otherwise... well, I have to admit he really improved his stamina (he looked like he was going to die after six rounds in the past sometimes) and he fights more relaxed now, but I still fail to find something he is really good at.
