In the first fight with Lorenzo he gets DQ'd. In the fight with Diaz he was fouled to death, and in the rematch with Lorenzo he was fouled a bit as well. He's overcome adversity for such a long time now and he's finally reached a point in his career where he can hopefully cash in on some big fights. Props to you, Soto, you have most definitely earned everything that is coming to you.
Eh, a Soto-Pacman fight went out the window after Soto lost to Guzman-unfortunately. I don't know how comfortable Pac would be fighting @ 130 right now, and if they had signed to fight Soto I guarantee you they would've fought @ a catchweight. I'm not sure how well Soto fares against Pacman at a higher weight. I think he does fine against him @ 130, but not sure about a higher weight.
The unexpected win over Oscar is what will bring the multi millions for Pac, a win over Soto would have done nothing in terms of future offerings and even accomplishments.
The good news (I hope) is that Soto won't go chasing after Pac like so many other fighters seem to be doing. Soto can stay at 130 and hopefully earn some more belts and get bigger paydays. I wouldn't mind seeing him rematch with Juarez.
a rematch with juarez is prolly the best fight at 130 atm. as i said in another thread it is obviously clear who the man of this division is, but I dont see any of these big paydays at this weight for Soto all the money moved up to lightweight.
Soto vs Linares is the next logical step for both This can be a killer undercard fight to bring back some respectability to PPV undercards I say put it on the Hatton vs Pac undercard. That way you have the Latinos, the Euros, and the Asians Add Tim Bradley vs Kendall Holt and you have an absolute killer card that everyone would watch and you can set up the Pac/Hatton winner's next fight.
become a fan?probably not. but i wouldnt say that he hasnt fought anyone anymore and would give him credit for taking the fight. but i dont think the fight will happen.
its a style thing from the fights ive seen his style doesnt make it for me,but who knows i might change my opinion in the future when and if i see him against better comp. theres a lot of great fighters that i dont like theyre style and theres not so great fighters that i love seeing them fight .
k well even me after a while if Linares doesn't step up his comp i will start to lose interest. The way i see it right now he is still young and his comp has been adequate esp. considering he got injured for a year. However when it comes to style i like pretty much any style as long as there's something incredible about the fighter i will be a fan.
