Thought Soto looked excellent last night anyone agree ????

Would like to see a unification with him and Kevin post Katsidis should Mitchell get through that .

    Thoughts ?????

Soto would be a nightmere for Kev. Humberto would outbox and stop him late. Fighters like Mitchell need to be put into the right type of fights once they're lucky enough to get hold of a strap to keep hold of it, Soto is one of the best and fundamentally sound fighters out there i'd keep Kevin well away from him.

This is exactly the type of shite i really dont like to hear ..................

    The LW division :

    Valero
    JMM
    Diaz (Juan)
    Reyes
    Soto
    Guzman
    Funeka
    Katsidis

Where is Mitchell supposed to hide in that lot !!!!!!! , Mitchell is good enough to hang with Soto imo and i think makes for a great fight .

Soto boxed lovely at points then got sloppy...tbh got impression he was preparing himself for a much more dangerous southpaw in Valero if or when they ever get chance to fight. Plus fighting a friend i think he just went out to win and do a job but not go to heavy...it was pretty easy work. He's a good technician and the comments in that sky stuido were plain dumb. Mitchell has to prove himself against The Great Katsidis first.

Okay, so Kevin beats Katsidis (which i'm not sure he does btw) and then you put him in there with a stylistic nightmere in a very high risk, low reward fight against a guy no one wants to fight unless they have to in his first defence? GTFOH. I'm not advocating he "hides" but this is a business and the kid has to earn a living, there's better fights for him IF he beats Katsidis, that namibian for example.

If mitchell beats katsidis am sure he has to fight manuel marquez within 180 odd days .. correct me if i am wrong tho.

Your right but it's doubtful Marquez will fight either he's looking at other avenues.

Good fight for Mitchell. Good, technically solid and tough Mexican.

When Katsidis beats Mitchell then we'll realise this thread looked a little silly :good Soto is quite a few levels higher than kev unfortunately

    Nah.... two completely different styles.

Soto isn't going to stand there like Katsidis will.... if Mitchell does (I don't think he will) beat Katsidis it will be a great win, but he still hasn't beaten a decent boxer.

Schooling Prescott is one thing, but Mitchell himself said on here that he doesn't punch that hard (by comparison to Carl Johanneson) - beating a quality boxer-puncher is another in Soto.

Good luck to him, hope he does well.
