Man I love listening to Paulie talking boxing,I can listen to him all day long,Ellie Sechbac on the other hand I truly can't stand as he goes from gym to gym and just grovels and licks a*** with whoever he's talking to at the time. Re Golovkin and Jacobs I still don't believe a word of what Jacobs just said,I've no problem with him wanting a decent pay day and he should get more money than when he faced Quillen but the way Jacobs was talking it sounded like a beaten man already to me even though what Paulie said in front of Jacobs was spot on in that Jacobs is the best middleweight opponent right now for GGG and that GGG will present chances for Jacobs to land on him. I'm thinking the fight don't get made.
This - ridiculous amount of time wasting. Major events can be done and dusted in a fraction of time these negotiations seem to take these days. There is no need to keep fans stewing for months waiting for an event - it's the modern age, if it's any good tickets are snapped up online. Boxing seems to still be working on the stand in line principal.
This is one of those I'll believe it when I see it cases. If it does happen its a really good fight. Golovkin is obviously going to be the favorite but Jacobs has a good shot. His chin probably lets him down eventually but if he can hide it well an upset is possible. Hope it happens.
I guess March would take GGG to a June then September fight. I can live with that. A December bout would have been nice but 3 fights a year from him is appropriate.
