Call me crazy but I give Canelo a better chance at beating Floyd than Pacquiao. He has big power, much more patience, and doesn't throw Manny P's.

I agree. Canelo has a puncher's chance. Tim can cause a problem defensively but has nothing to trouble Pacquiao offensively. With no power Pacquiao won't respect him like a Mosley either.

Bradley/Pacq at 140 is a good matchup, above 140 is no point.

Canelo would weigh more than Floyd going into their fight and has power. Yes he's less accomplished than Bradley but a better style to give Floyd problems than Bradley is to Pacquiao.

Marquez is incredible, I should've given him more credit before the fight. Plus with their history Marquez had Pacquiao down like a stamp on a letter(bad analogy). Bradley ain't as smart as Marquez and is too reckless for the reckless master in Pacquiao, if possible.

Isn't everybody? If he wants Floyd then so be it. We complain about matches not getting done and pampered fighters but don't give credit to those wanting to face the biggest challenges in their career early.(Whether Khan wanting Pacq/Floyd or Canelo wanting Floyd)

He's fighting someone young, yes. Problem is, this guy is still green and who's best opponent is an end of his road Cintron and struggled with Alfonso Gomez.

 

Canelo will be a fun fight, but I would prefer for Canelo to grow more as a fighter and create his own hype. IMHO he is not really ready to fight Mayweather. Also, as a slow starter, he seems a bit vulnerable to being behind early which when fighting Mayweather can't be good. I really wish it was Cotto or Martinez, but I am fine with this as it is good for Boxing. Maybe Canelo could be Mayweather's final fight to pass the crown and give him his first loss?

Pac is fighting the only Black guy who fights EXACTLY like a traditional Mexican Brawler with no pop, lax D, a questionable chin, and can't hang at 147. Mexicans weren't enough. Now he is fighting Mexicans dipped in chocolate?

Shows you how reckless Floyd Joy can become. Here, he downgraded all his potential opponents, and when the smoke is now cleared , he shall be fighting a man he does not want to fight.

If this happens I don't like this fight for Floyd at all and what is goldenboy thinking here? you have a young talented potential ppv draw with a huge following in Alvarez and you want to put him in their with arguably the best p4p fighter now? why not match him up with Mosley to build him up more. Pacquiao-Bradley I'm not mad at although, I would have preferred Pacquiao-Peterson. Peterson has the build to fill in 147 more comfortable than Tim, and is a more exciting fight due to his style.

 

GBP is just giving in too easily to Mayweather and Haymon's demand, without thinking of a long-term effect to their promotion outfit nor to their boxers.

Well, Floyd's is their biggest moneymaker even though he is not under them, so they are willing to sacrifice their upstarts for immediate return of money.
