He might have dropped a fight to Luis Ortiz because the southpaw vs southpaw matchup would favor the right hook over the big left hand.

Wilder was certainly on the verge of a knockdown in the fight with Luis Ortiz 1.
I sincerely feel sorry for Luis Ortiz, because in his career he only lost to Deontay Wilder, and those were two devastating knockouts, and both times he was better on points at the time of the knockout.
Now he is 43 years old, and it is not to be criticized if he loses to someone.

Southpaw Dillian Whyteleafe the GOAT southpaw. Never shipped any punishment, never lost a round, only ever fought ATGs

With those legs it doesn't matter which one is in front.

    I agree.
After the Fury 2 fight, I thought that Wilder should work on his legs, especially his calves.
He doesn't have to have calves like Mike Matarazzo, because that's almost impossible to do at Wilder's height.

Nah.....you can work legs it just takes a lot more effort than working the upper body. Boxers are generally more top heavy but those who have better lower body development can generate more torque in punching power. Pac is a good example of this.

I don't think I've ever seen a top boxer have bigger calves than Manny Pacquiao, I mean in a p4p sense.

I think there's a fallacy with upper body devopment being the complete answer. However thinking reasonably it's the lower and mid section that really generates the big power and torque required just simply based on mass even without considering basic mechanics. I think that's a big reason for Pacmans power is through the legs.

    What have you measured them?
He proportionally has thicker legs than most boxers his size...
    My point stands.
