I came on to this thread ready to explode at someone describing Hagler as a pressure fighter. Pleasantly surprised.
All styles are available to any stance. You have an outboxer, slugger, pressure fighter, counter-puncher in both stances. It's just that the best guys are too skilled and chooses to be a boxer-puncher instead.
I made sure to note it wasn't his natural style post 2009 for sure he's a supremely skilled slugger like Duran after moving up to 60kg.
Yeah, that's why i didn't quote you. FWIW, i never thought he looked that good as a pressure fighter. Hearns broke his hand in round 1 and the fight was as good as over at that moment.
PW is the last ****ing person you want to study film on if you're trying to learn. He does everything, everything wrong from a technical standpoint.
Jose Luis Ramirez Kevin Kelley Bert Lytell Lou Brouillard Tiger Flowers Manny Pacquiao Khaosai Galaxy Jiro Watanabe Michael Moorer (LHW) Corrie Sanders Paul Williams Julio Cesar Vasquez Paulie Ayala Srisaket Sor Rungvisa Joe Calzhage Mate Parlov Josh Taylor Krzysztof Głowacki Vasyl Lomachenko Vasilly Jirov Marvin Johnson is my favourite, though. There's loads tbh, and they're almost always super fun to watch.
