Southpaw Stevenson may cause Kovalev big problems

Stevenson could cause him problems if he gets off first. He needs to make Kovalev respect him early. Slip punches and counter. Kovalev has good timing but is often open for counters. It's extremely difficult to exploit though. Pascal had some success and has revealed a bit of the blueprint. It takes a slick, athletic, and quick boxer to beat Kovalev. Stevenson I think can hurt him but will be KO'd before he causes any real problems.

If they fight, I think Stevenson tags him hard in round 2 or 3, then gets too confidence and gets caught in an exchange. All downhill for him there.

I predicted KO8 for Kovalev-Pascal (not on here unfortunately) and I'd predict Stevenson gets KO'd in round 6.

Both pack glass chins so it might come down to who swings first. Adonis is the slicker one in my opinion and could land heavy early. He only has a few rounds to win though. You have to feel Kovalev would take over after that.

Kovalev is easy to hit and if Stevenson cracks his ass, it might be good night nurse. The same for Adonis but by no means is Kovalev a better boxer than Stevenson. They are about on the same level except I think that Stevenson throws a single shot faster.

 

Of course he will cause him probelms it will be a great fight. Unfortunetly Stevenson has done everything within his power to avoid this fight so we may never find out. Hopefully it happens soon.

My pick is Kovalev to win by TKO but it will be a very hard fight and he will probably have to pick himself off the canvas.
