Do you consider these Australian fight cards top quality ?
    The truth is brutal sometimes.

Honestly?? In 95% of cases.. YES. Not all of Interantional quality, but more than acceptable.

On paper, the cards may look borish, but they are far from mis-matches the majority of the time. The Geale/Mundine undercard is a perfect example. It was slagged of on the forum, yet turned out the best on any Boxa promotion.

People have FOX via subscription... they don't have to fork out any extra to view this card. IMO, it's a bloody bonus. Take a look... you should be suprised.

    Cheers.

Ain't easy to match a card this time of year. Most guys are yet to settle down after long break

To be fair I have not watched any of the last few Fox cards but have watched a lot over the years. The last one i watched was Vea's last fight against a Kiwi which was an absolute war.:good

I just wish either Fox or free to air TV showed some decent over seas cards occasionally ( and not replays a few weeks after the event when you already know the ****in results). All I can say is that thank god for computers and the internet because without them it would be near impossible to keep up to date with boxing or MMA goings on. These sports are extremely hard to follow if you live in Australia like all of us.

Speaking of mis-matches.. this will make any local fight look 'on the level'.

    Check Pongsaklek Wongjongkam's last opponent.

78-3 vs 0-2 ...from memory. Might be 0-3.

Home viewers always wanna see top cards, but would those attending be prepared to cough-up 100 bucks minimum??

I heard fox pays the promoters 5k to broadcast fights, but they have to set up there own lighting which cost 3.5k,hardly an incentive for them to pay for bigger fights.

I heard they were paying around 7k most of the time...with 1 promoter sometimes getting 14k.
