Ruslan Chagaev defeats Mat Skelton. Another victim of Soviet Heavyweight domination. Who in the Hell does the USA have to compete? Eddie Chambers? He'll get blown out by Povetkin. Chris Byrd? I'd rather not see his daddy throw in the towel after another Soviet beating. Hasim Rachman? Rather not see him knocked into the front row by more Soviet fists. Jameel McCline? Rather not see him crumple by a Kiltschko again. Evander Holyfield? I'd rather not see his head used as a speed bag in Russia again. Lamon Brewster? Rather not see him quit on his stool because he can't handle jabs. Jabs man! My God the American Heavyweight scene is pathetic! Only Nigerian Samuel Peter has a chance against ancient and rusty Maskaev but that will only set him up from a complete beating by Wlad klitschko Heavyweight division will be flowing with victory toasts of vodka for years to come.
Did I misspell his adopted muslim name? He's the guy that Maskaev whupped twice. First time knocked him into the front row and did not get up for a couple of days and had a mountain of swelling coming out of his head. The rematch Maskaev beat the Holy **** out of him again as Rahman held onto Maskaev's ankle like little boy holding onto daddy after bad spanking. That's who Hasim Rahman from Baltimore is. A Maskaev punching bag :yep
Wlad his is china chinned joke, yes, the soviets are doing good, but they suck dick anyways, noone even watches the weak Heavyweight divsion anymore.
so someone tell me who is the great American hope? C'mon tell me who is it? C'mon tell me I'm waiting?
Suck dick? That's the problem. Soviets don't think on *** terms they are real men. No one like you watches because you don't want inferiorty complex rubbed in your nose. You don't watch because your'e scared to.:yep
Lamon Brewster's "Warrior" chin is a bigger joke. Quit on his stool like a fcking coward because he was afraid he couldn't talk to his kids from getting brain damage from Wlad Klitschko's left jab and his china chin. Why couldn't Brewster hit Wlad's China chin? Cause he put his tail between his legs like a mangy whimpering dawg and quit like ***** cat:yep
Actually I do watch the Heavyweight division, I like fighters like Sam Peter, Chagaev, Brewster and a few others, but nonone can deny the division is extremely weak in popularity and talent. I just miss the days when everyone loved the Heavyweight division back in the 90's, when you had very talented fighters and everyone knew who the Heavyweight champ was.
You're a phony of a poster in denial of facts with no back up or answer. Thanks for calling me a Siberian Mongoose that is quite a compliment! I owe you a couple of shots of vodka if you're old enough or tough enough to drink it
Having four Champions does suck. I agree with you there. I expect Wlad and Manny to unify all four by the end of the year. I give Ibragimov no chance against Wlad. For the record my favorite Heavyweight of all time is George Foreman :good
My bad for getting pissed off on my first post, I just thought you made a thread to try and **** people off or something. In all fairness, your right the americans do seem pretty absent from the Heavyweight picture, I just want to see the best matchups, American or not. I would love see Peter/Wlad 2, that would be interesting fight to see, especially if Peter can knockout Maskaev in his next fight.:good
The Euro's add a lot of class to the division. I like Chag a lot, but I do have to complain a bit that he came in at almost 230. He does not look to be more than 5'10" to me, and I hope to god we are not seeing another Solis, Toney, Williams, Johnson, etc. emerging. He will proabably fight his mandatory next- lets hope he trims down, wins it, and fights Wladdy. As for American heavies: it doesn't look good. Chris Arreola will at least be fun to watch. One thing this division lacks is punchers, and he can punch.
Did anyone expect Matt Skelton to win????? Skelton is average at best. It would've been a big upset had Skelton won the fight. Still he's probably the best British HW right now so that says alot about the British HW scene. If David Haye proves he can take a Hevyweight punch then he could go far if he moves up one division. American Heavyweights...It doesn't look good at all nowadays but things can change in a few years though.
