What ever happened to that guy in your avatar? Is he still trying to promote Ray Austin as the next champ?

You guys got to wonder if there wasn't a Cold War, just how much Soviet Talent would have came out earlier and would have been a threat in this division.

There should be an asterix next to the name of all Champions before the fall of the Iron Curtain.
Were they really WORLD CHAMPIONS? or HALF WORLD CHAMPIONS?
Only now do we really have global competition and look what's happened.
The Heavyweight Champs of today truly are WORLD CHAMPIONS :yep

Yeah, but look how talentless as whole the soviets are, aside from Wlad there one fight away from lossing. Thats turn the clock back a little over 2 years ago, all 4 of the Heavyweight champs were american, Rahamn WBC champ, Brewster WBO champ, Ruiz WBA champion, and Bryd IBF champion. Its nothing to worry about, everything goes cycles.:good

That was until Rahman was blasted out of the ring twice (second time he held on to Maskaev's ankle for dear life)

Brewster quit on his stool cause he couldn't take Wlad's jabs.

Byrd got battered bloody and had daddy throw in towel after Povetkin beating.

    Ruiz? Please!

I'm waiting for the great Mongolian take over!

Yep, Soviets are ruling hard. Not likely to change anytime soon either.

Brewster was an extremely exciting fighter, I think every match he had as champ was exciting, Meehan, krasniski, Liakhovich, Golota.

They also beat Soviets in there time as well, Bryd made Vitali quit like a ***** on his stool, Brewster made Wlad panic and fall apart, we can go back and forth on this. The fact that the Soviets are so called dominating, who cares really, none of these Soviet Heavywieghts will ever pass any of the great american Heavyweights like Ali, Louis, Tyson, Holyfield etc.:yep

The truth hurts, other than Wlad none of these guys will even be remembered 10 years from now, and trust me Wlad will never make the top 10 ATG list, beating weak competition wont do it for him.:deal

This thread is gay. But Wlad is certainly one of the best HW's in a very long time. At this point I think he has all the tools, maybe even more, than Lennox Lewis, although his legacy probably cannot reach the same point at this time.

Brewster put his tail between his legs and quit on his stool not because of injury but because he was a coward.
Vitali had rotator cuff injury any NFL player would be taken off the field ASAP or do you deny this?

Tyson wouldn't go near Vitali after he was challenged.
Byrd had the bloodiest face after getting knocked backwards by Wlad and had daddy throw in the towel after the beating by Povetkin.
Revel in your inferiority complex and tell me who is the next American Champ?
C'mon tell me I'm waiting C'mon out C'mon where ever you are!!

Heavyweights will be dominated by the superior Soviet force from now on. I will continue to remind you this for the next decade
