Spadafora had the style to beat Mayweather

Spadafora didn't show anything that Judah didn't already do better. He is not an unconventional southpaw like Manny, Nunn, Whittaker or Loma to make this an interesting fantasy matchup imo.

 

He already did beat mayweather. It goes into the history books he ran floyd out of the gym. He was then frozen out of boxing.

 

Mayweather didn't go near anyone he thought could beat him once he started fighting super defensive and using lidocaine for his glass hands

Morales is his dad
Even Cotto he waited out a little while
Only one he was keen to fight was Marquez and there was a weight advantage to Floyd
He underestimated Maidana badly and it was tough but luckily forced foam gloves which might have been his $1million dollar saving grace

The equivalent would be Fury waiting another 2 years OR MORE to fight Usyk

Not to slate Floyd he was an amazing fighter but he played his A-side hand as heavily as you can.

 

Sparring ain’t fighting, contrary to what those who don’t have much in ring experience may think - for many fighters, sparring ain’t even close to fighting. Plenty of athletes are lackluster in sparring but turn up for competition, there are also people who never “lose” a round in sparring, but fall apart in front of a crowd.

Spada had zero power....he could outbox lots of guys but eventually a big puncher gets to him.

Nevertheless if I was a boxer I'd fight like he did; slap and run, slap and run.

Well I don't see how you watched his fights and come to the conclusion that he would beat Mayweather.

He was dropped twice vs Victoriano Sosa and barely escaped with a decision, and then got beat up by Leonard Dorin and got a gift draw that no one believed Spadafora earned.

Spadafora was never one of the top guys he was an ok champion that was better than average but nothing spectacular.

Mayweather beat plenty of Southpaws like Sharmba Mitchell, DeMarcus Corley, Manny Pacquiao, Zab Judah, Victor Ortiz, Robert Guerrero.

The light hitting Spadafora brings nothing new to the table that Mayweather hasn't seen before sparring means diddly squat.

 

Even some of the ones he beat would beat him. LOL

None of those other southpaws are anything like spad, except for zab judah, who gave mayweather one of the hardest fights of his career and was robbed of a KD which could have set the tempo of the fight in a different direction if it was called correctly.

 

Zab gave Floyd a hard four rounds and that's it; he was on the way to getting stopped before the low blow/rabbit punch combo.

Spaddy didn't have Zab's speed or power, so it's not really that great of a comparison.
