I haven't yet but I was working with a guy at my gym who recently sparred Nate Campbell before he went into training camp for his fight on the Morales/Maidana card. Fights at light heavy so he put Nate on his ass. my work schedule sucks though so I wasn't able to make it to the gym and see it.
Weren't you "Toney"? I just vaguely remember a Finish guy with a Toney avatar who had 40 odd amateur fights or so.
sparred peter quillin he broke my nose sparred sechew powell he took it easy sparred a coupe oldschoolers who people wont remember, they taught me the most and hit the hardest.
Add tommy coyle 8-0 pro Dezzie higginson British masters champion Kenny Anderson commonwealth games gold medallist
Thats a ****ing impressive list :L Out of the lot of them who would you say most challenged you? and what was the result of your fight with Ricky Burns?
Burns beat me on points but I gave him a good contest. Caught him with a couple of decent shots but he was too good at that stage, and he's got better. The best I've shared the ring with is Kenny Anderson. He's so talented.
Yeah i have seen a couple of Burns' fights, he is good. Anywhere i can watch some of these fights? Would be quite interesting watching some early stage pro boxing matches.
ok, its complete BS story that people make up and tell you, especially if u cant bring us the pros name, No way a 24-0 pro gets dropped 4 times by someone with hardly any experience in sparring with thicker gloves and headgear. Link to Video footage or it never happened.
I have been going to a boxing gym once a week since mid February 2011 having never boxed before. I did some sparring (2.5 rounds) last night for the first time. It was against a couple of guys in the gym who have been going a bit longer than me, but not much longer. It wasn't proper sparring really, mainly throwing jabs. I was not landing much and getting hit too often I think. Is this a normal experience for first time sparring? I enjoyed it but at the same time it knocked my confidence a bit.
Now than you mentioned him I remember him too, but i have always used Antsu as a username. I havent have a amateur fight jet. Started boxing more seriously 2010 and before that casually trained boxing time to time. Having my first fight in September
