I know you want to be supportive, but it wasn’t that great after nine months of boxing training. (Of course depending how often he trains, but if it’s like my gym 6 times per week, the nine month rookies are way better.) There is much room for improvement in basics of footwork, blocking, punching technique and just about everything. Your guard is too low all the time and you seem to leave your self open after punching. Also you should be way more active Why dont you spar in the gym instead of backyard, you could get good pointers in there. I liked the James Toney imitation, but it is really dangerous style to pull off, if you don’t have great anticipation skills and great reflexes.
i only went to 2 days a week and it was boxing for MMA dat was the only gym around were i live. I found another gym thats straight boxing and i was backin up because i wanted to get a feeling of his reach i usually do better in the second round
no harm done bro :good and yes, it probably was a mid-long range left hook, although at some point in the vid, i threw a wild overhand right, but it was just to put a break in my rhythm so he wouldn't time me
Kid in the blue shorts has no idea what hes doing. Kid in all black THINKS he knows what hes doing. Keep going to "your gym" because theres a lot to work on.
Cool vid. Keep it up! No offense but you kid of remind me of Shaun Weiss aka Goldberg the goalie from Mighty Ducks. This content is protected
So his video is boxing related because you box? :huh It's backyard boxing and does not belong in the training section. Posting it there is disrespectful to the people who take their time to give advice, he should go to a gym first.
