I've never disagreed with you, and think you're quite funny, but in this case, you are coming off pretty smug. The kid said he's been to a gym, can't afford it at the moment. Doesn't mean he's not serious about boxing. He didn't come in here talking ****; he just asked for some tips. I thought you would be the first in line to offer it, being a trainer and all. Even though they were in his yard, they were not doing the typical brawling you usually see. Do they need a lot of work? Yes.. That's why he posted it in the training section. Not everyone has means or access to a gym membership. So, for you to exclude someone in that position from getting advise was wrong. But like you told others who called you out on it 'you don't give a ****'. :-(
Aye ? Its the training forum.....hardly the general. Wondering now if you posted on the bedroom thread. Anyways, you stuck this vid here to be mocked, least be honest.
No I did not. But if it bothers you people so much I'll move them back. I agree it's not typical backyard boxing and he is interested in advice, but these threads are always moved here. I can't recall seeing a bedroom boxing thread.
It may be mocked by some ignorant posters. But the guy should take some heart - Scurlarntings has offered words of encoragment - and this lad has potential.
Also I haven't mocked the thread starter as there is not much to mock. I myself was far worse at that stage. There isn't much to give advice on either, he should go back to the basics and build from there.
True. Fair play, you didnt......i couldnt find no other reason for moving what seemed a genuine enough vid regardless of quality........to the Lounge.
I feel bad for this kid. He looks to be all of 15. Just a kid asking for advice. Way to go promoting the sport. This will get people interested in boxing for sure.
think it's time to leave the kid alone, even if he did go to a gym there is nothing wrong with training and home, i often spar mates at the gym without a trainer watching, we don't go hard but still would it be any different if me and a mate trained and home. i agree that you need a trainer but who says you can't teach yourself, most gyms you don't get any assistants from the trainer until you shown your face a few times.
Thanx man :good not saying dat I'll keep training in my backyard, but even if I dont go to a gym I'll try my best to look back at the video and correct my self the best way that I can.
