Looks good. Go to a gym, don't spar in your backyard, lose weight, improve your fitness (assuming you want to compete). That slowass style is all fun and games until some guy blitzes you, which is basically all that ever happens in amateur fights. Like the counterpunching instincts. Don't duck below the waist. Not only is it going to get the ref on your ass, you might run into a douchebag like me who isn't shy about hitting you on top of (or behind) the head.
:good thanx man appreciate the advice i know i duck for my head movement thats mostley because i joined a MMA gym(only gym around, no boxing gym) and didn't teach much of head move or illusiveness, pretty much i had to learn it my self
I would define backyard boxing as 2 guys duking it out in the backyard with boxing gloves to look tough, with no regards to actual boxing. These guys are obviously "training" boxing, just so happens the training didn't happen in the ring. Not all training has to happen in the gym, if a guy jumps rope in his patio as oppose to inside the gym, is that backyard boxing/training?
Bags of talent- you've spent a lot more time in the gym then your letting on. Your defence is terrible though and you'll be picked off by anyone your own size.
It's a bit of a grey area, I moved it back here because people disagreed with me and I see their point as well.
So does you listening, and responding to other non mod posters make you human after all RDJ? Haha I say that only because of all the disagreements I have read between other posters and you over the years, in reference to your "abuse of mod power" etc.
Alot of potential. Try to keep sparring in the gym. Trust me, I know sometimes people don't always have time to get to the gym, in some cases, but the lack of a trainer cussing/yelling at you(i.e. correcting), when you make dumb mistakes, can cause you to get too used to being lackadaisical. I'm a prime example. I have a sparring vid on here, of what happened to me, once I got back to the gym and fought someone well trained. Breaking those habits has been a pain. But you seem young, and look to have a decent understanding of the basics, so I think you'll only get better with time. Good luck :good Oh, and try to get some gym sparring footage, so we can see how you do (movement, cutting off, using the ropes, etc) in the actual squared circle.
Sure. I have always defended my actions to posters, I don't moderate under an alias like others so I can be held accountable. Perhaps in this case I jumped the gun when I labelled it backyard boxing, it happens. Explain, as far as I know I never abused my "powers" for personal reasons.
Haha, I'm not saying you have, I've just read plenty of posters, who have implied that over the years whenever there seemed to be disagreements.
