if by games you mean what i think you do, we play a game called numbers, you get given a number, everybody then climbs in the ring (usually no more than about 7 people) Then when your number gets called you can throw punches at whoever else...could be just one person, could be more than one. You are the only one who can throw and everyone else just has to move and evade you with head movement and footwork. pretty good game until the person your throwing ats number gets called and if theyre quick, you just get countered and punched around for a bit if they catch you by surprise. with the odd "every man for himself" thrown in if the coach isnt there, just for a laugh more than anything else.
not many of the clubs i have trined at do this but i love to do these as much as possiblwe. one jabs and one counters. cornelius carr used to get us to do his loads. boxer a throws 1-2, boxer b counters boxer a throws 1-2-3, boxer b counters boxer a throws bodyshots, boxer b counters both jab only, both left hand only, both left hook only, both right hand only one boxes like muhammed ali, one tyson one works on defense in the pocket one attacks. sometimes l;eft hand only, right only , both hands etc a throws any 2 punches and trys to move out of range, b has to throw 3 in response a throws any 1 punch, b has to throw any 2 to counter. should be a few ideas there BB

All those seem pretty ******ed to me. All technique went out the window. Not only is the individual on defense learning close to zilch, but the dudes throwing are also picking up horrible habits. That last one especially (Wall drill) .. pure atsch
We had a one called Cat-N-Mouse. The goal was to pin the opponent in a corner. Whoever could do it the fastest, and whoever could keep from getting trapped the longest. No round timer, instead a stopwatch! We rotated with 6 different guys. Tough, tough, tough.
there is one i learned at a martial arts place for a feild trip in high school. You practically just try to tap each other on the head, when someone gets tapped, reset. Then tapping the body gets added.
The wall drill can be useful, makes one more comfortable in the pocket and against the ropes, but the guy attacking is too relentless, making the one defending too nervous to practice and encouraging bad habits of turtle-shell-like qualities.
One guy going all out and the other countering with only lefts one round and rights the other. Never neglect your left hand.
For points scoring, 1 guy in the ring 3 on the outside, no timer, boxer in the ring has to score 3 clean shots on each of the boxers on the outside as they rotate through
:---( That last video - what a complete mugs game. :rofl:rofl:rofl I'm sure its toughening them up - but stand against a wall - and allowing someone to beat the **** out of you like that - is just sado maschoist abuse. The most classy boxers I know of - just dont get punched period - thats their mentality - of course they going to get punched to some degree - but they not going to take needless abuse like this. I feel sorry for them guys and a degree of contempt for them - who have allowed themselves to be used to put themselves against the wall to be abused like that.
the corner...although i kind of liked this drill because of being a puncher/infighter the way it was being done at my old gym was really dangerous. but maybe the idea of the drill you can work off of. make fighters fight in a very small area like a telephone booth fight to practice infighting and develop toughness [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLmnXJIHMR8&list=UUNFhMqWSF4cvTaN03XdKYVQ&index=2&feature=plcp[/ame]
