hatton is not a slugger they he is an in fighter and foreman could take a punch

mayby slugger isnt the right term. basically i jab alot. and throw hard punches. i also dont have a good defense but i have a great chin. i like to get inside and blow the guy up with hard hooks. and my straight right is my strongest punch so i like to slam people with that when they are stunned. ill post a heavy bag vid, but im afraid everyone would diss me

people won't diss you if you're technique is good.

it sounds like your sparring partners are just bitching. I mean, you don't want to seriously injure them, but not everything will be clean and easy, so they should just fight better.

You know, I have pretty good power and am a heavyweight, but I don't throw full out punches in sparring, especially if I'm in against a light heavy, middle... A good boxer has enough skill to control the force of his punches, without getting beat up in sparring. You obviously don't know how to do that, therefore, you still have to learn. Going in there and brawling will not improve you - you're doing what you already know how to do. How about you try to work on defense, new moves, new combinations etc. - things that will help you out when you fight. You can't learn those new things if you're brawling.

And also, if the guys you are sparring any good, they should warn you to chill out, and then if you don't listen, when you come in, cocking back your punches, they should nail you with a hard straight right down the middle.

lol not worth it to be hurt in sparring, and your chin was probably never tested by a real puncher

honestly tho if you keep doing that one day one of your partners are going to get pissed and either really hurt you or just quit sparring with you
