Don't spar in that room. You're gonna get your head banged off that wall and it will not be a good thing.

Work on one stance until you get real comfortable with it (like, more than a few fights at least).

    Keep that chin tucked down.

I don't understand the word analogy in the title. Maybe you're looking for the word analysis? As for the video... you don't have the footwork, balance or speed at this stage. You should be focusing on the basics and learning some technique. Hands up to start and if you get good enough you can drop your hands abit and try some shoulder rolls. Honestly dude you'd get your head knocked off against someone decent, forget all that switch-hitting unitl you've mastered a stance otherwise you're just making it harder for yourself.

yes i was lookin for that word exactly but it didnt come to me in time. My hands were up for the most part so you kinda lost me there, and the switch hitting i completly understand, but ive already been hit flush with shots from pro fighters and sum heavyweights over 195 and im just 173 and didnt even blink so i would have to be getting hit with a compilation of punches from a real PUNCHER, but hopefully it never comes to that:bbb. And even without the balance, speed, and footwork which i will do my best to perfect, the video atleast reveals i have good head movement and early signs of counterpunching abilities wouldnt you say?

Just gonna throw this out there because I watched the other vids on your youtube page and saw some indications of a certain mindset pattern:

    You are not special.

At least you can't let yourself think that you are. You'll only hurt your progress by thinking, even subconsciously, that you're special. Believe it or not, that's why almost every beginner posts these threads. You know you have work to do, but you think there's also signs of potential. There might be. But everybody thinks they're special when they start out. The sooner you convince yourself that you're WORSE than average for beginners, the sooner you'll begin to make real progress. It's called lying to yourself, and it'll make you a better boxer if you get good at it :thumbsup

definetly i completely understand that sir, i always try to humble myself so i completly understand what you are trying to say and i will take this in stride. but really i just wanted to honestly get everyones opinion so i can get better because i really have a passion to be the best ever at this but i know i have alot of work to do, but im willing to do whatever i have to to get there, no weights, constant shadowboxing, hitting the heavybag whenever i get the chance, and i've been watching alot of fight film from Robinson, Walcott, Willie Pep, Archie Moore, B-Hop and my favorite fighter Ezzard Charles so i can have examples to learn and study from and add to my game. I guess Drake & Trey Songz said it best..
..:bbbI JUST WANT TO BE SUCCESSFUL:bbb

How can a boxing coach not have a boxing ring in his gym? go to a different amatuer affiliated gym.

And no weights ?? Most top boxers at the moment do some kind of weight training limiting yourself is stupid at this stage.

well, i only watched the first video, but you did seem to drop your hands a lot. Especially the lead hand when countering with a right ... watch at 23 secs, and 27, and 41, and 45, and 50, and 56 secs, and so on....

I'm by no means an expert, but keep that lead hand up and also keep your chin down.

all is well my friend, and oh yea if he cant take criticism then boxing might not be his sport, its more mental than physical, anyone who knows something about boxing knows that
