Sparring sessions you would love to see footage of

Any sparring from all world class pro's from Philidelphia
the 50's through the late 80's. I've heard many Legendary stories from
that time frame and location .

 

Don't tell me that ...you don't know. The amount of times people have told me there is no footage of something and at the same time I was watching it on the box. You can say it's not known by you to exist. That's it.

 

Dempsey vs Greb

There was a great story about it in Tunney's book by Jack Cavanaugh
Apparently Dempsey barely managed to land one while Greb threw from impossible angles. Hard and not so hard to believe, but I would love to check it out

 

I did see Chiquita Gonzalez spar Melchor Cob Castro on two occasions, about 15 rounds total. They fought two cautious world title fights but when they sparred, they got at it. Pure war.
They were good friends and often helped one another prepare for fights.

 

Midleweight Champion Harry Greb, when he gave heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey a bad beating.

Mayweather Jr and Whitaker sparred in like 95

 

Heard it was the other way around.

 

Would love to see the sparring sessions between Ali and Holmes, from Larry's early time there to the end. He mentioned toward the end that his jab became a lot better than Ali's and I believe it. Would love to watch the progression.

But there it is, I'm a Holmes fanatic and a big fan of Ali as well lol.

Would have loved to visit the Kronk gym in the 80s and watched all ths sparring. Hearns,Paul,Kenty,Mccroy, and visiting boxers sparring Kronk boxers.

I once read that Carlos Monzon once sparred with the great Sugar Ray Robinson in 1971, when Robinson was making appearances on some television shows like The Mod Squad.
