Toxie Hall floored Marciano in sparring.


Jack Johnson was a sparring partner for both George Gardner and Tom Sharkey, he embarrassed both of them.

Harry Wills was a sparring partner for Johnson, but was fired because he couldn't give Jack a workout.

 

As a MW, I sparred Daniel Smith a CW, who fought David Haye in the amateurs and i also sparred Shaun Walton (a now pro journeyman, with a losing record admittedly).

Sparred them one round each.

 

Mitch Green made Larry Holmes look bad in one sparring session

Curtis Parker reportedly gave Michael Spinks fits in sparring.

 

Lee Q. Murray was ousted from both the Joe Louis camp and the Tony Galento camp for putting each on their butt.

 

Curtis "Hatchetman" Sheppard did extensive damage to Harry Bobo and Charley Burley in sparring sessions. The man was a crippling hitter.

hahaha I don't ever remember seeing Ali throwing body punches either.

 

I've always wondered about that, surely Ali could have made life easier for himself if hed focused more on body punching against Frazier?

 

Maybe Ali assumed that all fighters were as tough as him at taking body shots and didn't want to waste punches?

2- Razor Ruddock kicking Riddick Bowe's ass
3- Foreman vs Quarry
4- Oliver McCall kicking Prime Mike Tyson's ass
5- Big Cat Cleveland Williams breaking a sparring partner's back

 

Mcall never kicked Tysons ass, theres plenty of videos on youtube showing it was the other way around.

Mcall quit and walked off during one session where Tyson hit him with a body shot.

Page and Berbick dropped Tyson (around '89 or '90)

 

McCall made Tyson quit after having bloodied his nose, I think it was in just before Tyson fought Spinks.

 

Ive never come across that story.
