Its damn near fight week. We need all the info on KP that you local yocals can provided. :!: I keep checking vindy.com, but are there any other local news sources covering the fight? Who's been down to the Southside Gym in the last few days? Whatz Uuuuup, Youngstown? :huh
I'm not from Youngstown but im a huge fan of Pavlik. Its funny what you said about Lennox giving the shout out, cause I figured the small bars in Youngstown all erupted and more rounds were bought also....I can picture it (future movie anyone? :hey )
Go Pavlik Go!!!!!!! Pavlik must understand that the ref and the judges will be against him same as the last fight, but Pavlik should knock Taylor out once again. PPV is getting absurd though!
I am from the midwest. And Wisconsin is supporting Kelly Pavlikl!! Pavlik represents blue collar workers all over the mid west. GO PAVLIK!!!
I am from North Eastern Ohio, and have a couple of buddies in my dorm that are from Youngstown. Apparently Kelly's dad either worked or owned a bar around there. Actually, prior to the first fight Pavlik appeared at a fair and had an autograph signing session. Since I was working that day I was unable to attend, but my friend went and got a picture taken with him, as well as a picture of Kelly (they were handing them out) autographed and made out to me. Everyone tends to say he looks much smaller in person.
Yes, Y-town knows Jeff. I used to fight out of the same stable. Youngstown/ Warren has produced some tremendous fighters. Obviously, we have Boom-Boom, Arroyo, Lampkin, Mike Kornicki (look him up), Ernie Shavers from Warren, Tony Henshaw is from a little northwest of us (fought on several cards with him). I know I am probably missing a lot of names, but that gives some insight to Kelly's passion about the city. It's one tough town. Kelly, Kelly, Kelly!!!!!!
