Speaking as a big GGG fan... he shouldn't be the main attraction tonight

Roman Gonzalez is more proven, arguably more exciting (GGG is terrifying with awesome power but he's a patient stalking machine for the most part, Gonzalez is more explosive and aggressive), and fighting a far more dangerous opponent to boot. That a fight and fighter this cool should slip so far under the radar (no threads on the first page last time I looked) is tragic to me, if not exactly unexpected given the public's disinterest in the lower weight classes. I'm not expecting Chocolatito to ever catch on in the same way with the casual fans, but you guys ought to know better methinks. :good

No, but that's solely down to his size, as I already mentioned. If ticket sales were based solely on what a fighter does in the ring, he'd sell like crazy (as would GGG for that matter, but this is a less relevant stay-busy fight for GGG). Super entertaining KO machine.

Not anywhere close enough to making his fights the main event. It is all about the weight class being too small for most non hardcore fans to take seriously..

I agee, his fight will be much more competitive, like he could lose, ggg can't lose. And the only fight i see as not an utter mismatch is ggg v ward. I believe once they're in the ring it'll turn right in to the normal mismatch by the start of round 4, during round 3 the take over will be clear.

Then it'll be nonstop excuse after excuse after excuse. Wards 2 year hiatus will be the main excuse, even if it doesn't happen till 2018.

Kovalev might end the ggg v ward debate for good. Close fight, rematch and most likely triology. Kovalev wins in devastating fashion, wards probably looking at retiring young and healthy.

If it's proven you can't beat the best around your weight and already wealthy it's a great time to hang them up. Ward got me dominating barrera, can he do that to an elite fighter at his natural weight class, 175 ?

What demand had ggg ever made, throughout his entire career ? I had to had missed that. You don't mean fighting for his mandatory mw wbc challenge at mw ?

Or do you mean, offering ward (lesser name) a 50/50 split in purse and both giving 4 lbs ? Massive demands, he should be stripped of all his belts and removed for all standings
