They're Punch-Drunk! Really though, I remember Roger said Roach was punch-drunk. I couldn't believe he said that! Roger is the funniest to me.

Or maybe its just a habit...A lot of people repeat phrases or words out of habit. These guys are professional boxers/trainers how they speak is on par with what you typically hear in a boxing gym. At least from my experience. Not many people in the boxing profession are etymologist...

I've seen this behavior in other common types of people too so it's not peculiar to boxers.

Of course it is habit forming. It's similar to Pac's "you know" when he can't articulate his thoughts in english. Or ending sentences with 'Lord' or 'dear god' when people pray - used here as fillers.

I don't get why you are bringing up etymologists in there. Not knowing the etymology of words doesn't make you repeat words nor make incoherent sentences.

It is called the brutal price of the sport. Much like Roach is paying. That is why it saddens me when people like you think it is "funny" and then turn around and call yourself a boxing fan. Or when interviewers/fans try to catch a boxer up with talking. We all know it. Let it go.

Man the price of those 10 power punches FMJ took in his career is really severe. Idiot.

No, this is not the same as "you know" or "ummmmmm" or "like". This is different.

Christ, this is the second day I've had this avatar and you're the third guy (or fourth maybe) who'd asked me this.

I typed hot chick into google images and she came up on the first page.

You are a complete clown and you have obviously NEVER boxed. If you did you know that ANY fighter that has made it to the level of pro has taken insane amounts of brain damage.

Why don't you find you some current videos of Pernell Whittaker a fighter who arguably took less damage per fight than Mayweather and see how he is doing.

People like you are just complete clowns.:fire

You imbecile, FMJ takes the LEAST amout of punishment of any fighter (except maybe Whitaker) and his speech is ****ed up in the same way his father's is (hint, you IMBECILE). How many active fighters do you know that have ****ed up speech?? Use your head you idiot.

Even Roach, who has full blown parkinson's talkst straighter.

    God, you're dumb.

I just LOVE listening to sr speak man. It's some funny **** the way he talks. I don't think he's punch drunk, I think that's just how he is. The best part in that 24/7 overtime vid is when Roach says: The only time I need to get hard is when I'm with a girl" and then sr sounds like he's havin an orgasm and starts saying "frreeed, frreeed". :rofl

Roger is funny too but not as much as sr.

For Roger and Floyd seniors case, they are punchy old boxers who grew up on the streets. Not to mention both have had serious drug issues. For little Floyd I think he just tries to talk ghetto/street to make himself more endearing to the audience that speech attracts....
