im sorry but i disagree. mosely had agreat victory but margarito is overrated and one dimensional, the reason why pac thought he could outbox him. second mosely lost to cotto and not for a lucky punch should have lost to mayorga.if mayorga can beat mosely than pac has a better chance than 10%

People are getting a little too excited about Pac here.

He's performed well and done exactly what was expected of him, if not more, but he's not invincible.

If you look at his last 3 fight from a slightly more cynical point of view, he beat a fighter who last had to make the welterweight limit nearly 8 years ago, beat arguably the worst titleholder in boxing and, to many people, lost to JMM.

He came away with the win in all 3, but not one of those fights suggests for a second that he beats Mosley; Mosley's quicker than those 3 by far, has good stamina and far more power than Pac has ever felt in his life. Pac's defence has improved immeasurably, but I don't think it's anywhere near good enough to allow him stay away from the bombs Shane's going to be throwing for 12 rounds, while doing enough damage himself. If Mosley can stop Mayorga and Margarito, he can definitely stop Pac and that's the outcome I'd be loading my money on should this happen anytime soon.

True, but he's still leagues ahead of Diaz in all respects. You can't praise Manny for the Diaz fight but not give Shane the same or even more credit for his performance at the weekend.

he beat who was put in front of him, and looked amazing in his last 2 fights, when fighters are so good they make there opponents look poor thats what he does

No doubt. As I said, he did what was expected of him, if not more so in actually stopping Oscar. I just feel people are losing a little bit of perspective when it comes to judging these speculative fights. He's looked good, but I haven't seen enough there for me to think he stands anything but the slimmest chance to beat the version of Mosley we saw on saturday.

i think it would be close, but i think pac could use his superior footwork to get in and out of range, he will be a mobile target unlike margarito. but i agree mosely has got quick hands and has a hard punch and could ko pac if given the chance

I'm a Pacquiao fan and a Mosley fan, so I've got no agenda here. I want the best for them both.

I have no idea what Pac "thought", but I know Freddie said right off the bat after Oscar that he wasn't interested in taking on Margarito. That tells me all I need to know about what he thinks of Manny's chances against elite, true, and not semi-retired welterweights. Fighting at 147 was a financial opportunity. Manny isn't going to be campaigning there.

Mosley was on his way to a decision win against Mayorga, and pre-Margarito Cotto was a better technical boxer than Manny is now, plus a much bigger man naturally. No shame in the way either of those fights ended.

Pac has no chance to beat Mosley.
Mosley too strong, too smart, way too much experience and skill.
If they fought , Pac gets knocked out in less than 5.

Why do people say such idiotic things?

At 140lbs, Pacquiao wins 100% because Mosley has just given himself a stroke making weight.

At 142lbs he didn't have the stroke but can't remember what day it is, so Pacquiao 100% win again.

At 145lbs Mosley is hurting, but beats Pacquiao.

The Mosley of Saturday night with Nazim in his corner stops Pacquiao. I'd bet on that fight not seeing the scorecards.

stop dreaming people. this fight will not happen. ssm is too big for pac,

the only reason why pac took on dlh is that his age and weight issues basically evened out the fight, or at the least initially tipped the fight in dlh favor but not in a too overwhelming manner.

putting in a prime pac versus the fighters who can campaign from 147-154 is simply suicide.
