There's just as much science in offense as there is defense. Power and speed don't win fights but they can be an important factor.

Boxing is a chess match whether you're defensive, offensive or both. There's a science to every aspect of boxing. There's science behind being a slugger, a counterpuncher, a swarmer, etc. Floyd says he can do everything but he can't. He can't do what Mosley does. He can't do what Pacquiao does. The list goes on. Floyd's just great at what he does, and that's being a defensive fighter.

paulie is not even in the same areana as floyd, for one floyd has underated power, he is not knocking down walls or anything but he has enough to keep you honest or to make you second guess on a shot or he can come over the top of your jab enough to make you think twice paulie can not keep you honest at all and if you make a mistake on floyd you will pay for it he even rocked delahoya when they were on the ropes and delahoya chin is world class

Good of you to ask. People have been mixing the two alot lately. Boxing "talent" is based on timing, distance control, ring intelligence, and overall application skill. Being tall is not a talent. Being fast is not a talent. Hitting hard is not a talent. They are attributes.

The thing is, Paulie has the skill (as in acquired knowledge) to neutralize Khan's speed and power...it's just a question of whether he applies it.

Making a pick in this fight terrifies me. Malignaggi's too much of a Jekyll/Hyde type - the outcome could be one extreme or the other.

I just don't get it how people rank Paulie as a slick fighter? he got hit a lot against Hatton, Cotto, and Diaz. and he only managed to win against another featherfist (with the first fight being close).

I kind of liked the idea of Paulie because we were guaranteed 12 rounds of pure boxing (at least until Paulie gets KOed). But he fails against the top-level. His so called "slickness" can't compete there.

Floyd is Slick and Accurate and has a style to beat anybody. Paulie is out of his league.
