Tired of reading the same threads of how Khan will beat Mayweather due to his fast hands. Maybe these guys are trolling, but is annoying. In boxing being fast, having power , having good footwork or great defense wont help put much if you cant put all these attributes together.

Not saying that Khan or anyone else cant or wont beat Mayweather, just saying that speed alone is not the answer.
What makes guys like Mayweather or Pacquiao great, is not just their
speed is a mix of physical attributes and skills, which I think is where Khan is lacking a little bit.

Speed didn't help Mosley against Vernon, Camacho against Chavez or Khan against Holt/Garcia.

So please tell me, besides speed what other attributes Khan has to beat Mayweather?

I agree, i dont think Khan can beat mayweather, too much trolling imo. But it would be ineteresting to see how the fight plays out, mayweather hasnt fought anyone who is faster than him since zab judah so it will be interesting to see how he deals with it. But as the fight goes on i just mayweather timing khan and then just blasting him.

Speed kills. No amount of skill will help Mayweather to stop bullets that Khan will throw at him.

Speed, power, and the understanding and knowleadge that his chin is'nt the best and that he cant go blindly chasing after Mayweather to land a big shot.

I actually think that Khan getting stopped and repeatedly stunned in fights he's even winning will drill into him that he has to fight a diciplined fight with Mayweather.

I'm not here stating Khan beats Mayweather, but definitely his speed and power along with dicipline gives him a chance.

I'm just saying let the other fighter be the faster one for once.
    Lets see Mayweather handle speed.
I think it would be a beautiful sight to see how Mayweather can diffuse speed! :deal:lol:

Khan's best attributes are his fast hands, fast feet and his work rate. This alone wasn't enough to beat Garcia or Prescott and it won't be even close enough to beat Mayweather.

Apart from these physical attributes Khan is actually not a very good boxer. If you took away his speed and work rate he'd be a very average fighter. He doesn't know how to counter, he's predictable because of this, his defence is poor, his power is slightly above average and he clearly isn't the smartest fighter in the ring, otherwise he would have improved and not regressed.

Even 2nd tier guys like Cotto and Canelo are way more skillful than Khan. Canelo at only 23 can do things Khan couldn't even dream of doing. The way he naturally looks to counter, the shoulder roll, the head movement the way he can use his gloves and shoulders to parry shots, when has Khan ever shown any of these skills? Answer never.

Mayweather on his worst day with bad hands would easily outpoint Khan. If the fight is ever made Khan will be humiliated with a one sided beat down.

Hopkins lost to Taylor because he wasn't active enough. Besides, Taylor wasn't even that blindingly fast, nothing like other fighters of similar size like Roy Jones or Andre Dirrell. Horrible example.

A good offensive fighter can be neutralized by a good counter puncher. Being a heavy puncher wont win you a fight is the other fighter has good defense.
Sometimes in boxing being decent at a lot of things is better than being great at just one.
Look at guys like Hopkins and Garcia. They are not great in one particular thing, but hey are smart enough to use what they have and get the win.

Khan will need to fight the perfect fight to beat Mayweather. And to be honest I don't think he has the ring smarts to do it.

Khan is not even significantly faster than Mayweather (if faster at all).
