This Super Middleweight Tournament is the breath of fresh air boxing needed.

This will no doubt draw in alot more casual fans and crossover sport fans and put that division back on the map.

I remember about a year ago watching Dirrell and saying to myself, "This kids handspeed and accuracy is just insane", and I always said to myself that he would never get a chance to fight with the likes of Froch, Abraham, Kessler and company.

Now that dream I had invisioned about a year ago has become a reality and I said it back then and I will say it now

DO NOT SLEEP ON ANDRE DIRRELL

The guy can get ragid in there at times but I see him beating Froch to the punch each and everytime and if he caused a stoppage which is not unlikely then it would open up alot of people who have been sleeping on this guy.

I see Dirrell controlling range and countering with some super sharp counters but if Froch can walk through Dirrel's punches then this makes for a very interesting and much closer fight.

    DIRRELL BY UD...

Froch will not catch him, Dirrell is too slick, and if he does catch him it will be a body attack to slow Dirrell down, that is Froch's best weapon, goto the body and slow down Dirrell because I dont think Dirrell has ever fought someone as strong as Froch

I'm a bit stunning reading the polls. Never sleep on Carl Froch, but Dirrell should be favored.

Speed does kill indeed, but Froch has faced fast boxers before and still prevailed.

Dirrell is probably going to need to show something extra to win this, some extra composure or power when needed, to get the win.

That's the interest, to see if he can step up. Froch we mainly know about and have done for years now.

The same Direll that was eating flush shots from Oganov? He better fight Froch a little better than he fought that russian.

I like Dirrell and i would love to see him winning this tournament, but i think Froch will knock him out. My feeling is that Dirrell is not tough enough.

Dirrell will definitely outbox Froch at times but he lets himself get back up far too easily and won't be able to stand his ground against someone as strong as Froch. It might take a while but late in the fight Froch will pin him on the ropes.

Froch has beaten Pascal AND Taylor. I believe Pascal to be a superior fighter to Dirrell, hence Froch will win a UD in his hometown IMO. HOWEVER, Dirrell will not be forced into a fight, but I also don't believe he's that sturdy.

    Froch via PTS.

Hanshaw had Dirrell down when they traded - it was incorrectly ruled a slip - was that part of the learning curve for Dirrell or a sign of vulnerability?

It will be a tough fight. As all Carl Froch bouts are. But i see the "Cobra" prevailing simply by wearing down Dirrell in the latter rounds. Similar style to Taylor. Froch has incredible endurance.

He hardly got hit in that fight, what like once or twice dude?
You make it sound like Oganov was actually in the fight.

He got totally dominated and man handled in there.
    Watch the fight again

I would say that there is a difference between fast hands and then super fast hands and also being accurate.

    Wouldn't you agree?

And Taylor and Pascal dont have the same type of snap that Dirrell has.
Dirrell has a great laser jab.

I take it you have never watched a Dirrell fight in your life

Oganov was ****IN AWFUL. Zuniga K.O'd him.

Dirrell is good but not good enough IMO. I think Froch will win in a close, entertaining fight.
