Dirrell's going to get punished in this fight, I'm more sure of this than I am about any other potential fight on the bill. Froch will have learnt his lesson from Taylor and will start faster whilst capitalising on his extremely good jab and counter punching ability. Dirrell hasn't been hurt like Froch is going to hurt him and he hasn't been in the same type of hostile environment that he will find in Nottingham Arena. To those who think that Froch can't box - as an amateur he won two ABA middleweight titles in 1999 and 2001 and a bronze medal at the 2001 World Amateur Boxing Championships so he must be able to box a little bit. Frochs main problem, if you can call it that, is his desire to put on a show, ie engage and fight. He needs to learn to moderate that desire. Froch also has a great advisor and trainer in Robert McCracken who will help the Cobra with his strategy. I can see two possible outcomes to this fight. 1. Dirrell runs for 12 rounds (as he did against the smaller Curtis Stephens) and loses an embarrassing points defeat. 2. Dirrell tries to engage with Froch more than is good for him and gets KTFO. Dirrells style suits the amateurs, it doesn't suit the Pros. Sorry.

I dont think dirrel will get punished, but froch is the much stronger guy and he will most likely kill him in the later rounds! But i can be wrong and it could be a much more closer fight cause i havent seen much of dirrell either!

Dirrell is the most talented in this tournament.

Problem is he is also very green. Unlike Kessler, Abraham, and Froch (who is arguably fading already at 32), Dirrell is not in his prime yet.

That lack of experience is going to be a big disadvantage for Andre Dirrell.

The problem for Dirrell is he can outbox Froch all he likes but he will lose if he persists in switch hitting and walking himself into corners and on to ropes. Froch will be patient and i expect a better Froch. Dirrell's a talented fighter but he hasn't been tested like this it's a trip into the unknown for him.

For Dirrell this really is the meaning of sink or swim.

"This kids handspeed and accuracy is just insane" says my good buddy Solid Chin and I second that cause I have seen it and I so very much doubt Carl gets into the fight... I just wonder if he really has that horse kick punch that once it hits ya, you suddenly go to pieces, Froch that is. And thnx to my buddy for letting me watch such a prospect like Dirrell.

I like Dirrell big time in this fight and if he decides to take a few chances he'll possibly stop Froch. There are a few questions that Dirrell hasn't answered yet that could play a factor here. Dirrell has never gone 12 rounds, he's never faced a fighter near Froch's level, and I've never seen him pressured like Froch will pressure him. But I also think Dirrell could be a very special fighter and he'll answer all those questions positively. I think this is the easiest first round fight to pick. Dirrell should tee off on guys like Froch and Abraham where his toughest match ups in the tournament is guys like Kessler and Ward.

Power is the last thing to go, but age is a factor which causes every fighter to gradually fade...granted, some much faster than others.
