Tyson still throws a 3 punch combination in under a second with gloves.

Roy was faster. Khan is fast but 10 feather fisted punches in 3 seconds is not the same as 10 hard power punches in 3 seconds.

Khan is a fast puncher, no doubt. But he is far from the fastest.

I recall seeing chad dawson throw combos against a training dummy, he was as fast or faster than Khan's effort. The list could go on of guys who are as fast or faster.

It has also been said, that the power of the punch is important, speed without power is almost useless.

The record for punching is something like 800-900 punches in a minute. That's 450% faster than Khan. Again, those punches aren't particularly forceful, so I don't really so the point.

 

i dont post often but i follow khan more than any other fighter i am also a "stani".
