What are some matchups that have taken place with the fastest combined hand speed? I’m talking about speed merchant vs. speed merchant.

Here are a few that come to mind:

Hector Camacho vs. Howard Davis in 1987 over 10 rounds in Atlantic City, with Camacho improving to 31-0 via competitive unanimous decision.

Howard also fought Meldrick Taylor to a draw over 10 rounds a year earlier, also in AC.

Muhammad Ali vs. Floyd Patterson in 1965 in Las Vegas, scheduled for 15 for Ali’s WBA and WBC titles, with Ali winning by stoppage in 12. They fought again, of course, seven years later in Madison Square Garden in NYC, with Ali stopping Floyd in seven, but I figure the first meeting obviously has the faster version of each man.

    What are some others?

How about Louis-Conn 1? Louis was not quick footed but had fast hands. So did Conn.

There's a difference between handspeed and hand quickness.

Roy Jones, Ray Leonard, Hector Camacho, Mel Taylor, Shane Mosley, those five guys had exceptionally FAST HANDS.

Benitez is in the group with Floyd - two guys who had extremely quick hands. I'd put Laguna in that group too.

I think what X is getting at is that some guys can throw 7 punch combinations in a second (what I'm assuming he calls hand-speed), and some guys can get a punch from A to B in the blink of an eye (hand-quickness).
