Don't forget that version of GGG was being ducked, swerved and avoided by pretty much all the top dogs at 160 and there were an awful lot of them who ducked back into the coop whenever they caught scent of him on the prowl. It took Brook with his gargantuan plums making GGG look a little human to imbue them with the courage to pop their heads back out of the coop and find their plums. That being said, it was a terrible idea for him to jump up two weight classes (even though he's a natural 154 and GGG isn't a big 160) to take on a fighter who has an iron chin and who has wrecked world class and even elite level LHWs and bigger in the gym with big gloves on. And it was a terrible idea to fight Spence for his first fight back after eye surgery and that beating too.

people dont realize the courage Brook has. Nelo wanted no part of GGG until he struggled to defeat Jacobs. This guy fought GGG and Spence back to back. Then took on Crawford years later. Talk about testing your self against the best.

Yeah it makes my blood boil when people accuse him of ''quitting'' against GGG and Spence, especially when you know what he went through both mentally and physically after having those gruesome surgeries. The size of his plums should not be in question and expecting a fighter to continue when there's a very real risk of them losing their sight in an eye and them knowing that too (which he did when he fought Spence) is ridiculous.

Spence is not going to get KO by a counter jab...the fight is 50/50 depending on how post car accident Spence looks.

you're completely right. Just made a thread about Brook. You have to have a real fighters spirit to take on GGG, Spence and Crawford in 6 fights.

And would that make you cry? Crawford to this day has only feasted on drained, shot, midgets, unproven fighters or gimps. Truth hurts. He had one good win Victor Postol. Aside from that, find me one name on his resume that's worth a damn that wasn't any of the things I just mentioned.

Clenelo weighed more than GGG when he was campaigning down at 154 and when hiding down in a weight class of his own creation [Clenelo Weight] because he was too petrified to move up to 160 while a prime and even past prime GGG was waiting for him up there. It took a welterweight from The Steel City aka Sheffield, England with a set of plums the size of church bells making GGG look semi-human to imbue him with the courage to even contemplate stepping up to his natural division and then again GGG looking even more human against Daddy Jacobs (albeit GGG had to bend over backwards to entice him into a ring with him too) before he came to the conclusion the moment he'd been patiently biding his time for (ie. signs of decline in GGG) whilst hiding out in his reinforced state of the art Kazakhstani-proof chicken coop had finally arrived. Truth be told, had Brook not possessed such a massive set of plums Chicken Coop Clenelo would very likely still be quaking in fear in a puddle of his own ginger urine in the darkest corner of the coop to this day.

it wasnt just a jab, bud had plenty of leverage on it and was pushing off his rear foot. plus, kell was stepping into the punch. his brain was traveling in one direction and instantly bounced in the opposite direction...thats gonna scramble your senses.

I like Fast Car Eddie Hearn but No it was a terrible idea to put Brook in with GGG because you sacrificed Brooks career and opportunity to be an all time great. At the time Brook was probably the top dog at Welterweight. Spence was always going to be a tough fight for him and let’s be very clear Spence beat the fight out of him and made him quit. As for Crawford I knew Kell could and would give him some problems which he did but we cannot get away from the fact Kell is somewhat diminished now. He got hit and hurt with a punch he did not see. He has never been chubby until last night even GGG could not put him down. Full credit to Crawford he worked out the problem before him and pulled the trigger and his killer instinct is second to none today up there with Sugar Ray Leonard. However his time is coming when he gets in there with my boys the Truth Erroll Spence Jr or Danny Swift Garcia.
