Clinching is illegal. It should only be done by accident when fighters fall into each other. The point of boxing is to punch and make the other guy miss. Not play tap and then clinch when the other guy gets close.

He bends below the waist, then pushes himself to Pac so he forces the clinch.

Thats not schooling, schooling is boxing and boxing only. Using illegal moves and the ref allowing it is just unpunished cheating.

   Now watch this, how about - 1 point every time he did that? Treat it like a low blow, rabbit punch. Same for his bending below the waist. And you can claim Pac was hugging but Floyd was initiating it, outside of Floyd, Pac never hugs in fights. I think that I said hugging is illegal, clinching is not. If clinching was illegal every fighter out there would be disqualified. Now if schooling was illegal, Floyd would be in serious trouble.

 

A clinch is a natural occurrence when fighters arms get tangled up. Tactically hugging someone deliberately is illegal, it’s hugging, look at the rules. It’s just unpunished cheating. Look at the video, look at the blatant hugs.

John Ruiz should have been disqualified for all his fights, I don’t agree with hugging. I don’t consider huggers real boxers if that’s what they need to do to win.

Just cos a bias ref allows it don’t make it right. Rules are rules. You don’t see manny throwing a punch and then trying to hug.

 

You keep using hugging and clinching in the same sentence as if they are the same maneuver when they are not.

 

Remember guys pac beat a 40 year old de la hoya who had not fought at 154 since 2001 and fought PAC at 147 in 2008. And. Mosley who moved up to 154 in 2003. Had not fought at 147 for years until 2011 when he came down in weight at 40 years old to fight. Pacquiao . So what fighter has Pacquiao fought that was in his prime and not old and drained ???
