    Intriguing matchup. Crawford has more power and speed. He's been dropped and badly hurt by a lightweight he was massively oversized against.

    So Crawford = more powerful, faster, and skilled

    Spence = more durable

    Porter thought that Crawford was the tougher fight if that means anything.

    Porter feels that he schooled Spence.

    Most fighters feel that way unless they were completely blown out.

    Before you guys go to bed tonight, say a lil' prayer and THANK Jarron Ennis for forcing Spence into finally having to make this fight.

    Great fight, 50/50 on paper....but this one ain't gonna be settled on paper and Spence is going to be hurt and probably stopped.

    The guy who spits out his mouthpiece has more mental toughness than Crawford? I'm not buying it. When Crawford gets hurt he comes back stronger and punishes his opponent. he doesn't spit his mouthpieces to buy time.

    Even if you were right in each category, which is debatable, singling out attributes like this is nice but gets superseded by fight mechanics.

    I think Crawford is the mentally tougher fighter, as the other attributes are debatable. I'll go ahead and make my prediction. Bud by stoppage late in a great fight

    Nothing to do with Ennis. Spence is a man of his word he is doing exactly what he said he would do which is take care of business on his side of the street first which he has done then he would fight Bud whoever the champion of the final belt was.

    What makes Bud mentally tougher in your opinion against a guy who has cheated death.

    Will this be a great win for Spence then? Considering you're basically saying Crawford is out of his depth here?

    I did not say Crawford is out of his depth rather I am pointing out that Spence has a lot more advantages than people are aware of. I also said in an earlier post in this thread that there are things you cannot measure such as the intangibles though I feel Spence has an advantage there as well as a guy who cheats death must be specially determined. It will be a great victory for either guy but as I have warned Bud, Texas is not good for your health.

    Fair enough, I have it almost 50-50 and I've rooted for them in their fights leading up to this one but I'll be leaning Crawford in October/November.
    PS: Willie Pep cheated death but that didn't count for much in his series against Sandy Saddler. Maybe acts of bravery outside the ring aren't correlated with mental toughness in it.
