The guy looks a terrific prospect, but so did Broner.

He literally has one credible win against Algieri.

Then again Algieri only has one decent win on his record and that was against Ruslan, the most overrated boxer of the last few years who is famous for losing and who's best win is Mike Alvarado.

Don't get me wrong he has potential but its way too early to say anything as idiotic as he'll KO Brook inside 4 or he can beat Thurman all day long.

True, but aside from Porter and Guerrero, who has Brook and Thurman beaten?

At least Porter was a legitimate welterweight. Chris had pillow hands at 140.

Still has beaten no one else, and no one close to Porter in almost two years.

Let him get carried away. He seems to be a confident young man who wants to fight the best guys in his weight class. Nothing wrong with that.

If he was out there saying "Porter is probably too strong for me and I'm not ready for Thurman yet...hopefully I can get Paulie next..." then he would get totally shredded by fans and rightfully so.

Sorry I actually meant to put 'hype' in the title.

The hype is getting carried away not spence himself

On these boards, yes the Spence hype train is running express. But that always happens here when a prospect has an impressive win.
