That's basically what it means in the context of two black boxers arguing.

A more technical term to describe Thurman would be eccentric, although he isn't as smart and charismatic as he thinks he is.

Thurman I suspect was not very popular growing up and likely kept to himself or got along with outcasts and people living on the fringe of society. He doesn't seem to be into mainstream things and is a little socially awkward.

So me, a Black urban guy, is telling you what Spence meant.

And you're telling me that Spence is questioning Thurman's blackness by calling him a cornball... because you got it from Urban Dictionary lol.

If Spence was calling out Thurman for not being "black" enough, he would have called him a c00n or a Tom.

"Cornball" simply means that Thurman is not a serious individual. It simply means "you're a joke."

But go'head, keep looking into some black-on-black angle...

I don't think Keith Thurman is a bad guy at all. He's always come across as a good dude, and I have nothing against him.

He just tries too hard. And it's clear as day that from 2015-2017, he wanted no parts of Spence.

Now that Spence is a money guy, and Thurman is a nobody, all of a sudden Keith wants the fight...

Yeah I don't think he's a bad dude either, just a little cringe sometimes when he tries his catchphrases like "you better not duck me thon" (doesn't help he has a lisp  )

100% agree that his attempts to fight Spence now are very transparent. He made all sorts of excuses when Spence was a contender and now that his stock has plummeted he wants a fair shot. He also tried to swindle his way into a fight with Crawford demanding a huge payday as if everyone forgot he's been inactive for more than a year and lost to a 40 year old.

Thurman is corny, I will give him that.

Not as though he needs to worry about being accused of "ducking" since he is fighting the guy who beat Thurman the last go around. But on this forum, ya never know, I'm sure a few have this copy and pasted in a Word document for future usage.

If Spence doesn't want him then why won't Thurman call out Clawford?
