He might be if he turns out to be good enough. but he still has to prove a lot.

He has the right attitude (up till now) for it. He has the right nationality for it. And he has the right style for it.

 

Spence is nothing like Ward or Mayweather in terms of style.

I think Spence will be seeing stars at the end of his next fight with Chris Algieri.

 

And if Spence schools him I hope you give him his due but more than likely you won't and say he still hasn't proven anything and you'll pick the next guy to make him see stars as well.:deal

 

Where and who is making these claims? I have seen very few who can really determine which prospects are going to be a champion unless it's really obvious like with DLH, Mosley, Mayweather, Mike Tyson and those types. In other words, this is boxing so who cares if a prospect is hyped up. They have to do that, that is how boxing works.

I mean wtf is a "big star" you call kids stars in infant school when they do well.

The media perpetrates GGG as a "star" but is he really?...in terms of who he has beaten they aren't stand out guys, his PPV number's aren't great. He isn't a "celebrity" in being known outside of boxing. So what is it?

The great thing about boxing is you ain't nothing intill you prove it. Spence ain't done it yet...and even beating Algieri is hardly an outstanding achievement...it's just a step (FINALLY)

They are all just the next Mayfield/Berto/Broner's as far as I'm concerned intill they actually do something. Even winning a belt isn't something outstanding anymore in this sport. They hand them out.
