Crawford is more than just natural talent there is a lot of skill and technique in what he does too. People shouldn't mistake sound technique and fundamentals as the same thing as superior boxing skills. Compare Wlad to Fury, Wlad fundamentally and technically shits on Fury, but Fury is the more skilled boxer with his movement, range, angles, counter punching etc. In a pure boxing match I'd favour Crawford's superior movement and counter punching over Spence Jr, but in a fight that's a much harder and closer one to pick. Maybe Spence can grind him down and impose his size, strength and power or maybe Crawford plays the matador to Spence's bull and out boxes Spence.
Exceptional offensive fighter YES. Exceptional offensive boxer NO. Brook was outboxing Spence the majority of their fight.
True before the eye and Brook gassing it was a competitive fight that Brook was winning. Spence is far from invincible and not the exceptional boxer some think he is. He's no Mayweather, Hopkins or even Ward those guys boxing skills were a level above what Spence has shown so far. But there's more than one path to greatness, you don't necessarily have to be a slick boxer type sometimes an offensive machine like Pac, Hagler comes along and dominates an era for a while.
Highly debatable. Thurman has already proven he operates on an extremely high level and unlike damn near everybody else, he wasn't given the benefit of easy matchmaking so he's pretty much fought every stylistic matchup. Also, it should be noted that Thurman: possesses quicker hands and feet, more power, we know his chin is proven as well as his resolve, he can fight on the front foot or back foot, he can pot shot and bang. So again, how is Crawford (who I believe is a top p4p guy) superior to Thurman(another p4p guy) that holds a serious size advantage. When I say size, I mean body, not height. I have Crawford ranked higher because he's campaigned in more weightclasses, but make no mistake about it, Crawford is gonna be up against it against Spence or Thurman. It's amazing how much disrespect Thurman gets on here
no. i can only go on a guess, like everyone else commenting on this, but my spidey sense tells me spence is genuine, a man too comfortable in his own skin to even believe he needs them and too proud to make himself a liar and cheat over the possibility of losing to someone hes sure he can beat right now.
