Neither are Chenko or Crawford, or Inoue or Wilder or Joshua or Usyk or...anyone fighting today.

It really is a weak era, and I have been watching boxing for over 40 years. Watching Spence he's good, don't get me wrong, but an all time great. Nah.

I am not exaggerating when I say that I think he would last about 5 with Leonard, 3 with Hearns, and lose a lopsided decision against Duran. He's about on the level with Benitez. Crawford about the same. Although I think he's better than Spence I'm not sure he would win a fight, the best fighter doesn't always win.

Chenko, same. Great athlete not a great fighter. Uncle Bobby is going to pull out the rug on him like he did on Paq. Mark my words. The best 130 to 135ers, Mosley, DLH Whittaker, Tsuzyu, too strong for him.

Idk how anyone can hate on Spence, he’s in shape, carry himself well and comes to fight. He’s not a point fighter and tries to take out all his opponents, we need more fighters like him!

Spence is the man at Welterweight in my opinion. A devastating Southpaw puncher/body puncher, he'll be very difficult to beat.

He just got started, give him a chance. If he can clean out 147 then I will indeed put him in the category of those gents. Not saying that he would beat them but he would deserve a spot in their circle for his era.

Too early to say how good or bad he will be in terms of greatness. He is a damn good fighter but will he be up there with the best, probably not but time will tell.

Comparing him to Leonard is a bit harsh, most people would lose to Leonard including many greats. But I agree to some extent I see more Sugar Shane than Sugar Ray in him.

Say whatever the f&& you want but you can't say Lomachenko isn't a great fighter, Athletes evolve in terms of skill and athleticism, he will be an ATG in the future, and you can't say Crawford isn't either, he hasn't fought anybody A level yet but he has a lot of diversity in his skillset, I'm just telling you facts, Joshua would beat Ali, Lomachenko would beat Duran, athletes evolve, Joshua would be too big for Ali, call me an idiot but if prime Ali time traveled to 2018 he would be knocked out by Joshua, too many flaws in the old heavies, the ATG George Foreman left his chin open everytime he threw a punch. Lomachenko would similarly destroy Duran at lightweight, Loma has better footwork, quicker hands, better accuracy... he could get knocked out by Duran though but no doubt Loma is more skilled.

Spence is an elite fighter, possibly an ATG, I think he'll prove it in the next 3 - 4 years.

What he did to Algieri, Brook and Peterson impressed the hell out of me.

He knocked out 5 good fighters in a row.
He's a special talent and is a reason people watch boxing.
I hope he will fight the winner of Barcia vs Porter.

The thing with Spence is he never had to go outside his A plan, which is to bulldoze you.

Brook did manage to make him look human for 4-5 rds, although he was getting worn down to the body.

What happens when he meets a younger, more athletic fighter with a bigger punch who forces him to change his approach?
That would happen when he moves to middle: this is where we're going to see.
