Errol Spence isnt all that much. He had a close fight with Shawn Porter. And managed to stop a shot Brook late. Other scalps include Welterweight legends Danny Garcia and Chris Algieri. I expect Spence to beat Pacquiao in a close competitive fight because Pac is small and 42. Prime Pac beats Spence to the point that Spence needs to spend time in the ICU. Spence isnt that good. Hes just a little bit better than Thurman. So don't be surprised when Pac looks competitive. Now if Pac was fighting Crawford I'd geniunely be concerned for the mans health. But slow plodder Spence? Not so much.
If Spence is a plodder why couldn't Danny Garcia catch him with anything? Danny Garcia struggles with movers. He does better against plodders. He has a great left hook , so why couldn't he land it?
I think you severely underestimate Spence jnr and severely overestimate what an old Pacquiao can achieve.
Is GGG a plodder? Whats the difference between GGG and Spence in terms of movement? This content is protected
You do realize Pacquaio barely beat Thurman right? Thurman was coming out from a 2-year hiatus with a torn shoulder, broken hand and got nearly KO'd in his tune-up fight before the Pacquaio fight. Despite all that, Thurman lost by narrow decision. I had it 115-113 for Pacquaio. Hell Thurman reinjured his shoulder again during the Pacquaio fight, in which he had to get surgery right after. This was two years ago, and Pacquaio hasn't fought since. Do you honestly think Pacquaio has a chance to beat Spence who is naturally longer, stronger, bigger, more active, and somewhat of a better boxer? I wish Pacquaio the best, but dam he really is going to hurt. Should have retired after the Thurman fight. He's being too greedy. Hopefully, he doesn't end up like Roy Jones Jr in Russia.
Pac could have easily fought 2 easy guys and made the same money for Spence. So money is a motivator, but he's also chasing legacy. Pac wasn't even expected to fight Spence. In fact, people went as far as to say he would duck Spence. Spence should be rightfully favored, but people are forgetting Pac is a different animal and will be Spence's toughest fight (if Pac doesn't show up completely shot).
He is good but nowhere near a special fighter those hype him up to be. First of all his resume is **** poor - he beat a weight drained GGG damaged brook and had a competitive fight ( and arguably lost) against a Porter who got a gift against Ugas. This is not to mention he uses his size against opponents as a prime weight bully. But Pac won't beat him 2 years out the ring at 42
This.. This fight is really a disgusting mismatch cash grab. This isn't the Manny that was piecing up that massive Margarito. If Spence doesn't win wide or tko him it'd be quite embarassing
