Watched the fight earlier without knowing the result.

What a fight that was, huge credit to both men.

Porter fought his heart out. That shot he got caught with in the 11th would have felled most men.

I think Spence made the fight harder for himself than it should have been however credit must go to Porter. He has himself a new fan in me after that fight.

Great fight, yet you come on ESB and everyone is slating Spence and giving their own agendas etc.

Can't people appreciate a great fight when they see one, regardless of whether they are fans or not.

Porter gave his best, I think it was one of his best performances but still he didn't manage to get the win. Yes it was a close fight, but it was won clearly by Spence Jr. Like it or not, Spence is one of the top dogs right now. Would love to see Crawford vs Spence.

Same, just watched on youtube in UK, Fantstic fight and exactly what was on the menu.
Can't believe some were talking trash on this match-up, really good stuff from two expert brawlers.
Spence really proved his mettle in this one, the more intelligent shot-picker of the two which (after some dubious body/d1ck work early) allowed him to time a short inside hook which did for Porter.

I personally would watch this 1000 times over before the Garcia-Spence match-up, I think Errol smashes Garcia into next week.

For those claiming Spence 'chose' to fight this way, you are dead wrong. Spence does not have the footwork or style to stay away from a rampaging Porter, he's no Thurman. Spence slowed Porter with body and groin shots early, having faith that his timing and shot selection/spot picking would see him do the cleaner work. That was a masterful execution from Spence who has totally earned my respect.

I would love to see Porter take on Crawford in the meantime, then possibly see a rematch. Please boxing, pretty please!

DEADLY fight as it was exciting right to the end .
Every time Porter had his foot in right place made it harder for Spence .
Not sure how Spence's corner didn't pick up on that to get front foot on the outside of Porter front foot , that kept putting Spence of angel .
Still was a good win for Spence , gee Porter ay he is good . 2 showmen's put on a very good performance for the fan's an people .

True not many spectator's or viewer's watch the feet . Seem's like Spence corner men were not watching footwork as well .

Well he landed much more and didn't get hit as much as Porter, plus he had a 10-8 round. I just can't see it Porter getting more than a draw (if I give all the close rounds to him)

After the fifth round, Thurman said he had Porter winning every round. I can't really argue with it. Those rounds were close and quite hard to score.
I think there should definitely be a rematch. Spence might have gotten the decision, but he didn't really distance himself from Porter.

10-8 only comes into play if you had the fight 6-6 in rounds. Otherwise a KD doesn't affect the actual scoring. (unless a fighter steals the round by scoring a KD)

Rematch would be fun, but for my money Spence is the sharper fighter and would win again.

That’s wrong. A round with a knockdown will be 10-8 by all three judges, which is huge. The judges will be splitting up the other rounds.
