Prithee good sir, And tell me whence, Wenteth the balls, Of Errol Spence? He's said to keep them In a sack, But lost them at The thought of Paq, Now me and my knights, We cannot rest, When balls are found, So ends our quest,
Little known fact. Sulaiman press releases and tweets are legal tender and accepted in most countries as such.
If there was a problem with something and Spence really wanted to duck this fight or take it at a later date and wanted to make up a lie then he could have said he felt ill and claimed to have Covid.. far easier lie to tell. Nobody would have thought twice, very easy excuse, I think it is a little too much to start inventing eye injuries involving retina damage, that isn't a joke, that's possibly career ending. Spence Jr is legitimately injured, I don't know why so many people have gone in the deep end over it.
Possibly, surgery is a lot better now than it was 20 or 30 years ago. For example the late British Heavyweight Gary Mason had eye problems, I believe after his only loss against Lennox Lewis he was told he had a detached retina and retired straight away. Retired with a record 37 Wins (34 KO) and a single defeat to Lewis, detached retinas are not good but the techniques to repair them are far better so Spence Jr has a good chance of a full recovery.
What's more incredulous? Someone honestly believing that Spence who clawed his way back into great fighting shape from a near-fatal car wreck, would sacrifice a career-high payday against a 42 well past-prime Pacman, because he suddenly 'got scared'? or Someone believing anything that Sulaiman (or thehead of any of the governing bodies tbf) spouts as being trustworthy? The whole premise was ludicrous in the first place.
Oh he's injured alright. The real question is how that injury occurred? Are the rumours flying around Dallas of sightings of a weeping man in boxing shorts desperately pulling the retina off his own eye with a pair of pliers? Obviously they are but it's more fun if we stretch this out.
That kind of injury could easily lead to retirement I'd think Spence will aim for that Pacquiao payday next year then retire. That eye is now a target for all future opponents. Ignoring the physical threat of damage just the mental aspect of fighting with that knowledge is more than a hindrance. Should have kept it under wraps and tried not to disclose as much information as we have. Hell even make a different cover story like your toe hurts.
Eye-gate isn't debunked until we get footage of the eye surgery. Spence is a bum and has now ducked his two biggest threats in Pacquiao and Crawford.
Eye surgery video could easily be doctored or faked I just spoke to Wilder and his team & they concur with my findings
Always thought he was injured. However, I do think he was injured a while back, not 11 days before a fight, and decided to play this card last minute. He was gonna do a Pac-Floyd and fight with an injury anyways, but backed out last second.
