Spence OBVIOUSLY wants to convince people of his eye injury. Hence the picture and the Tweet. He's doing everything but letting the doctor speak. Pacquiao. Lomachenko. Brady. Trout. Kobe. And countless other athletes have given their surgeon authorization to speak on the injury/treatment. Why hasn't Spence?
So much RIGHT with this post... I agree almost entirely, other than Pac's tank is the main factor (it is a factor though, I agree). Spence is very, very good and bigger/stronger/younger. Those are my main factors. Also agree the Ugas fight is a horrible potential banana skin. Manny deserves to exit the sport in the right way, even if that was a likely loss to Spence in a competitive fight. Not against someone sport casual fans will say 'who?'. And, don't get me wrong, as soon as a boxers pulls out so close to fight night, I get suspicious. But I think it's legit and as far as I can tell Manny hasn't questioned it at all. I fact he graciously said: ‘First and foremost, I ask everyone to join me in praying for a full and complete recovery for Errol Spence Jr. Thank God his physical examination discovered his eye condition before he suffered any further damage.’ Anyway, it's Ugas..... 'meh'
Nah. Fighter’s should have to do things like this. This sport is far more corrupt than you think if not. It’s common practice for any business, to convince their costumers that things are above board. A doctors statement isn’t a big deal. Plus it can let us know when to expect a guy back.
It doesn't need tp be proven w/o a shadow of doubt. We aren't in court FFS. You think a Dr. would lie and risk his career for some boxer. You have some serious need to grow up...
Because he doesn't need to and if he did you would just discredit the doctor anyway. Your mind is already made up. You're too biased to be swayed by anything he does.
Doctor makes a statement, it's good in my book. For the record, as I have been saying, I don't think Spence is scared. I DO think he had a poor camp and knew he wasn't ready.
I don't get why so many seem to find an eye injury being that unbelievable. Getting punched in the face means eye injuries are more than possible and it's strange to me how so many seem to think it's a lie.
I don't know, but I got a message today that says I'm in the running to be awarded the resurrected WBU "Super Mature Heavyweight Belt." I understand you have to be over 95 to qualify for this. I go to the gym at least twice a week. Bring on those geezers. I'm ready for them, Baby!
In no other line of work do you have to share you medical records with your employer or co-workers. You just ask for time off for a medical procedure or surgery. Spence isn't faking he pulled out because of injury.
