I just saw the odds on Bovada. Yikes I figured that Peterson would at least 12-1 odds courtesy. I guess not. Vegas expecting a blowout. Vegas treating Peterson as a tune up for the champ.
I think Spence definitely wins, but I think it will be a very tough fight if he dont take Peterson out early. At those odds, just for the long shot win, Id put my cash all over Peterson. I friggin hate being sober and not being able to bet. So friggin lame.
Crazier **** has happened at even crazier odds. These types of upsets have been happening since the sport began. You just dont know how two fighters will react with each other. Sometimes a fighter just has anothers number and you dont know until they square off in the ring.
What does Peterson really have to inspire gamblers to bet on him? He's got 2 knockouts in the last 6 years, and I don't think he hits hard enough to crack Spence's chin. Spence is bigger, faster, stronger, more skilled, hits harder, and takes a better punch. Doesn't leave a whole lot left lol. There's been bigger upsets, but I can see why the odds are this wide.
The fight itself on Saturday nite won't reflect those odds by any means. It will be a closer and tougher fight than most people are expecting, but still the result will remain the same which is a Spence win.
Those are senseless odds from whatever Bovada is. Best you can get on oddschecker is 13 to 1 on a Peterson win, which looks a lot more realistic. Like I said before, with Peterson you never know what substance(s) he got a TUE for now, so you should never count him out.
