Mayweather already kicked his ass and made it look so easy when he was way past his best at age 36. Floyd would always beat Canelo due to to his faster hands, faster feet, excellent defence, timing and ring generalship. Canelo knows it too.

PBF was 35 when he beat Canelo, he was not prime. If a faded PBF beat Canelo easily wtf do you think a prime one would do to him? Hypothetically speaking. PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Canelo just like he is for damn near everyone else which is why he's a terrific H2H fighter and the best of the era.

The best version of Clenelo is RIGHT NOW at 168-175. This version would literally kill Floyd in the ring. It's an impossible matchup, but just being real, Floyd didn't fight anywhere close to a prime Clenelo 8 years ago.

That argument can easily be turned the other way. Canelo wasn't prime then, he was still several years(at least) I don't see Mayweather being as effective against a better Canelo at a height weight, he wasn't even confident enough to take the fight at 154 then - that's not an excuse, that's a fact. How is going to beat a much better fighter(who's also on roids) at a weight class or two above 154?

Canelo didn't fight anywhere near a prime PBF when he fought PBF either in his 5th weight class. I'd rather be 23 than 35 going into a boxing match that's for damn sure. Ask Loma when he fought the much younger Teo for reference.:deal:

He may have won, but he didn't kick any ones ass. What fight were you watching? That was a glorified sparring session, so he certainly didn't get his ass kicked.

    Like I said, impossible matchup.

Floyd was a finished product and wasn't faded much (he was blazing fast in the Clenelo fight and his reaction/timing were on point) thanks to many vacations and having taken no punishment.

    First Canelo's not on roids.
A fight couldn't be made at the higher weights as PBF was already faded and at the limit of what he could move up to. That's not his fault so we have to go with what we saw in that fight. With that said if both were the exact same size PBF would dominate Canelo at the higher weights as well due to styles and skills. Canelo at the end of the day is a defensive counter puncher and a boxer he will never beat PBF at his own game period, faster feet faster reflexes and longer reach would always see PBF the victor in this match up.

I've got a nice tip on a penny stock that's going to blow up over night, you should put 20k into it right now.

Sounds like you're more or less admitting that he would lose to Canelo. "He can't go up any more weight classes" Why not? Duran did. "If they were the same size, PBF would dominate him at those weight classes."

Moving the goal posts like this is you more or less admitting that Floyd wouldn't beat this version of Clenelo.

Nope I don't want to hear it he was 35 and faded his last prime fight was against JMM in 2009 he fought Canelo in 2013 at 35. No fighter is prime at 35 and the 23 year old version of PBF would have toyed with the 35 year version of himself. The fight was supposed to be a passing of the torch fight with Canelo the future star was supposed to take out the old one. Canelo couldn't have fought PBF at a better time he the lineal champ at 154 for ffs and I will quote him "I was born ready".:deal:

PBF would lose to Canelo at 168 or 175 that's not some revelation, he's already small at 154. That's like me saying Canelo gets knocked out by PBF at 135 or 140. I said if both could be the same size PBF would beat Canelo and he did beat him when they fought while faded easily. If you can't see the stylistic threat attributes that make PBF a hard match up for Canelo then I don;t know what else to tell you.

Not sure why you couldn't just admit this early on instead of backtracking like this. So we both agree that Mayweather loses to this version of Clenelo. Glad we're on the same page.
