No way around it. Boxing just isn't a big deal in the US. Wilder would make more if the Povetkin and Ortiz fights hadn't fallen through, but getting an easy $1.5 million to run through opponents with little to no promotion is nothing to sneeze at. Neither Spence or Wilder have a promoter and put almost zero effort at promoting themselves, so all things considered they're paid well.

Spence just made over $1 million to run through a scrub like Peterson that struggled with Felix Diaz.

The only threats to Spence at 147 are Crawford and Thurman. Everyone else is an easy payday.

Wilder at the moment doesn't have any threats at the heavyweight division and knows it. But, in a year or two that might change.

Tyson Fury - Two years ago he was the most dangerous man in the division, but will need at least a year a two or get back to that level.

Luis Ortiz - 2016 was a good year for him, but he completely wasted 2017. I don't think he's been active enough to beat Wilder.

Joshua - Two green. If Joshua stays undefeated hopefully Hearn keeps him away from Wilder until he has at least 25 fights.

Povetkin - He's shot. 2-3 years ago he would've trashed Hammer or Rudenko.

Parker - It depends on how he performs against Joshua.
