Spence -Porter promotion/build up poor ?

It is interesting how some talkshows will bring on boxers, some radio stations, but fights like this, just generating tumbleweeds. Thx for price, didn't know, hope I don't have to wait for Utube to see it.

Spence is good if not a little arrogant. The way he smiles shows a certain attitude like he doesn't think he can be beaten. Which is good, yet does he have the opponents to beat him. I think Spence is on top of his game too much for Porter. I would have rather seen Porter fight Manny since they are more at that level right now. But Spence looks a little too peaked for Porter, who has to be on the downside of a decent career. Porter is a warrior. A true professional.

 

300k at 70 dollars like Fury - Wilder did? Not even a slim chance unless I’m missing something?

This is a fine ppv, a poorly promoted one, but a fine ppv. A Welterweight unification, with two top 15 pfp fighters.

 

We all know it doesn’t work like that though. If you have a massive following like Pac then you should be on PPV, Porter and Spence don’t really have that.

It’s a decent fight but not PPV at 70 dollars.

It was estimated that Spence-Garcia did 360k. I don't think they will do just half of that.
I am guessing around 250k. Unless there is a solid last minute marketing boost.

Even 200k sales wood yield a ridiculous amount of cash. They would clear at least 7mil from PPV, then add to that the gate and foreign rights; and they are good to go for another PPV.

 

And Thurman looked terrible against Lopez...
